1996 Mercuery Sable

My AC/Heater fan stopped working. It would blow a little and then it stopped altogther. I tried to check the fuse under the hood, but cann't get it out.Do you think it's the fuse, relay or need a new blower. I am a 53 year old women and I try to do alot of my own work, but having trouble with this one. Also If it is the fan can I replace it my self?

Thanks
Patty

No ac nd my fan stop working completely

Fuses blow because of higher than normal amperage in the circuit. Not sure what circuit the blown fuse is for but if it is for the fan the fan may be shorted therefore blowing the fuse. If you put fuse in while the ac was still on try shutting off the ac then putting the fuse in. See if it blows then if it doesn't then turn the ac on and if it blows you have at the very least isolated the system at fault.

Ac / heater fan don't work,

check the fuse, if the fuse is good check the blower motor relay, also there is a little diode in the fuse panel under the hood it could be, but most likely a fuse, or relay

1996 chevy cav. heater/ac fan not working. help... the wife is driving me crazy about it.

you may have a blown fuse, check the fuses under the hood, you may also find another fuse box under the dash check them too, if no blown fuses it could be the fan switch is faulty or the fan motor is faulty.....hope this helps.....cheers

AC blow fan in not working. tried to find fuse no

Try looking under the hood. There should be a power control unit with fuses and relays that control the AC. If you suspect it is a relay take on from another source that isnt detimental to the operation of the engine and swap it over. If your AC starts to work then that is your problem.

Heater does not blow out any air

There is a fuse panel under the dash on the driver's side and the maxi-fuse box is under the hood on the driver's side. If the fuses are good, it is probably the blower fan which is located under the dash on the passenger's side. (Behind the glove box.)
