Hi there!

Yes it will if it's a diesel.
VW's are among the best at it.

Fuel will soon have to contain 5% bio-origin fuel anyway. Most vehicles produced after 2006 can cope with 30% mix with no problems.
Your supplier can advise more on engine suitability.

At the worst case, you may need to replace a couple of seals in a few years - but well worth doing for cost savings.

If this helps, Please take a moment to rate as Fixya!

Improper fuel/air mixture, possibly plugged up air filter?
You have 2 out of 3 of the needed components for that motor to run, and assuming your timing is correct and you have compression, it could be an air intake issue.

Where is fuel pressure regulator located 2007 VW 2.0T (Passat)?

It is on the end of the fuel rail, and easy to replace just by removing the clips. There is also a vacuum hose. But test rail fuel pressure first.

I don't know why you would want to run that grade ,, Fla doesn't get that cold ,, The manufacturer recommends a synthetic 5W30 or 5W40 meeting VW Spec 505.01 for a 2007 VW Passat 2.0.
