Check the MAGNETiCiC CLUTCH on that compressor! Just pull out the the power connector and directly put it on the (+) terminal, u will hear a clicking sound, thats the magnetic clutch engaging! If u didn't hear anything, magnetic clutch is busted and needs to replace it, if there is available part near ur place! U need an A/C technician to do the job!

Hi I have a power issue to my ac compressor on my 97 chevy 3500 checked the fuses and the relay and both pressure switches seem to b working dont know what else to look for

Not sure I follow you.
Power goes from the ac relay to the low pressure switch, then the high pressure switch, then to the ac clutch. The clutch is grounded nearby.
Are you saying you don't have power at the clutch or any of the switches ? Do you have power on the lite green wire coming out of the relay ?

2008 Honda Civic dx rebuilt AC compressor always on regardless of controls

OOPS ! Now, it sounds like the A/C relay is constantly on. In the power distribution box by the battery, try swapping another relay for the A/C relay (which turns the compressor on), and see if it now stops. If so, buy a new relay. Good luck.

2002 lincoln ls heater dont work in winter and ac dont work. i took it to a local shop they check all pressure switches, ac compressor is fully charged , all fuses, relay all are good. I thought maybe it...

The PCM - powertrain control module energizes the A/C clutch relay . Don't know what this other guy's talking about ? No VCRM on your vehicle .Engine computer controls it . PCM . Now if the climate control , heater / A/C is not blowing out of the vent's it's probably the heater blower control module . If you had it to a shop what did they say was wrong ?

AC compressor will not energize

First thing you should check is all your grounds, on the body and your battery connections. Also double checked to make sure you have the air conditioning on with the fan on. If this is good the next thing to do is to get a wiring diagram. Verify that there's power going into the switching and coming out of the switch. Next find the compressor relay verify that there's power going two it. If this is good use your tests light to ground out the relay. If this works find out where the ground wire goes to the computer or the wide open relay. Good luck.

1986 chevy S10 has no power (12v) at fuse box on the fuse for ac clutch. checked both sides of fuse to ground 00v. ac/heater fuse 12v both sides (fan) works fine

hello, check all fuses, and relays, make sure wires to ac is not broke or has been pinched, sometimes you can run hot wire from battery, to compressor, touch hot side of plug in on comp wire see if it will kick on, if so sounds like a short, if compressor dont kick on with hot wire run to it, tap the out side of comp clutch and see if it kicks on, these compressors will not kick on any way if they are low on freon, once freon is full it should work.

Ac compressor not switching on 1986 Peugeot 505.GTI How can I test clutch wiring,. Have just aquired this car , heater blowers etc. working but ac clutch not cutting in, is there a switch I have not found....

The best thing to do first is to check the AC clutch itself if it's working, locate the air - con compressor and you will see a wire coming out from the front top of the AC-compressor, it has a connection, remove tht connection and take a piece of wire, connect it to the wire frm the AC-compressor and the other end of the wire to the battery positive terminal,by doing so you will hear a clicking sound of the clutch at the AC-compressor, better still is to start the car's engine, switch 'ON' the AC as normal, let the blower blow thn connect tht wire frm the AC-compressor to the positive side of the battery terminal and check it out if the AC-compressor rotates and also you may get in the car and see if its blowing cold air.
Please also check this -->
HEAT/COLD selector (on the dash) is not selected at HEAT...if it is thn the AC-compresor clutch will not kick in!
Hope this helps!
