I have to keep changing my spark plugs and wires and coil packet in my 2001 ford windstar. What could be causing that?

Hi Cathy, your cat could be partially clogged and causing your internal engine to run hot and causing this, happen to me,but it caused my head gasket to blow, had to take cat off to see,the inside of cat came apart and partially blocked the outlet.I put a new head gasket on and didn't put another cat on,don't have a smog test in my state. If it is not your cat, then it may be your piston rings which will let oil get to your plugs. What are your plugs looking like Cathy?

Hard starting, hesitates when trying to accellerate,

ok these is a long shot but it will only take you a mint you gota an o2 sensor that it is ion the exhaust system , note there is one ( or 2 , depend if you have one or 2 exhaust pipes ) before the cat and there 1 or 2 after the cat , if you can take the front one(s) out ( completely out ( leave the electrical connected ) wait for 5 min and then start your car push the accelerator and see if the hesitating is gone , let me know if u have any question , , ohh and let me know what kind of car u have so i can pull the diagram

I am driving along at 60 mph for 15 min and all of a sudden it stars to spit and sputter like its out of fuel. Pull off the road and wait about a min and it seems fine except when I go up a hill it will...

Could be the plug wires or the igntion coil overheating and shorting. The tempatures rise very high when the engine is worked hard causeing the insulation on older wires to leak current and short-out, idleing lets either to cool enough to recover. Same is true for the coil.

2004 Ford Focus LX, was sputtering while driving

A flashing light is BAD. Its damaging the cat converter. I would check or replace the spark plug wires ( if all OK, then) replace the coil pack. I would not replace anything unless they test bad. but these car are known for bad coil packs.

I had bucking and jerking going on and then the engine would shut off while idleing. I have put the following parts on the vehicle (88 Chevy c1500 Slverado) plugs wires new distributor, TPS, IAC, Dist ICM,...

I'm guessing that since you have covered so many electrical ignition parts maybe the problem is fuel related. Is this carb or throttle body? Either way I would start to head in this direction. When the engine is running can you stand by with a can of starting spray and squirt it into "carb" when it starts to die? Maybe you can keep it running with the spray which would prove whether or not it is fuel related. Good luck!
