Question about 1997 Mercury Sable
Actually, it's the neutral safety switch. Easy fix. Go to a mechanic and tell them you need to replace your neutral safety switch, and they can handle it from there. but you need to get it fixed because i have the same make and model, and mine started to go out in drive too. no fun.
