What does it mean to have oil on your spark plug? And how hard to fix/ about how much?

The engine is burning oil if oil deposits are on the firing end of the spark plug. Possible worn valve seals/guides or worn oil control/piston rings

How to change spark plugs?

Spark plugs to be unscrewed properly and carefully out of place , and to make sure when you put back that it is done properly and in place slowly and easy by hand to make sure that you are doing it as per the threads in the engine , if threads go bad you will have a big problem to correct.

If the plugs have oil on them from the spark end , means the engine is kicking oil to the plugs and that could mean that the piston rings are weak.

You could always use the proper tools as attached to pull the plugs out

Oil on spark plugs?

Hi. If you mean oil is around the top of the plug (the porcelian and hexigan part the plug)
This is usually the gasket between rocker cover and cylinder head.
I think on the honda its a rubber gasket/seal
I hope this helps you and it should not be to exspensive
Good luck John ( South Wales UK)

Changed plugs, excessive oil in 2 & 4 cylinders? Why??

The wording of your question is a little confusing. But, if you have any oil on your spark plugs, it means oil is leaking in from a bad seal. If your spark plugs go through the valve cover, then the seal under the valve cover may have gone bad. If you mean there is oil burn on to the spark plug, it could mean that the seals around your valves have gone bad and are allowing oil into the cylinders; you could also have bad rings on the affected cylinders and they are allowing excessive oil to come past the piston. You can usually see blue smoke coming out of the exhaust as well as the oil cap if this is the problem.

Oil in spark plugs

you mean oil under plug wires? your plugs are in the center of the valve cover? if so, you have a vlave cover leak, the oil will rise and short out the plugs so they will not fire. remove the oil from around the plugs, then replace the valve cover gasket and plugs, try to start again

Oil around 1 spark plug well.

More than likely you have a leaking valve cover gastet. Not a head gasket.
