Question about 2000 Subaru Outback

1 Answer

I have a 2001 Outback that we put a different motor in it. The new engine was a 2004. Everything was taken off the original motor and put on the new engine. The new motor has spark and fuel, but the injectors won't fire. There are no engine codes showing now for this motor. Any idea what the problem might be?

I CHANGE THE MOTOR ON THE COROLLA 2004 THE MOTOR THAT THEY PUT IN HAVE A ONE TERMINAL SENSOR AND THE CABLES ON THECAR HAVE ATWO TERMINAL SWITCH OR PLUG AND THE TWO TERMINAL ORIGINAL SENSOR DONT FIT ON

I would need to know which sensor you are having problems with to give a better answer. There are two systems used with computer controlled engines, one system sends a controlled 5v to the sensor and reads the voltage returning through the second wire. A single wire sensor is usually for a gauge, they measure the difference between battery negative and the signal they receive from the sensor, this is done inside the gauge.
Is it possible the two wire sensor you need to plug into is located in a different position in the engine?
Hope that helps

I had my car battery replaced and now i open the door and the alarm goes off.

I have heard of this from various different car owners. One Mercedes owner didn't even know he had an alarm for 4 years. If you don't have the original key fob, you will have to get your solution from the nearest dealership. They can probably solve your problem over the phone. Good luck, my friend, Dana

I would suspect a mount. Either motor or trans. Also check lateral mount on top of motor to firewall. Good luck and have a great day.
