It has not been synchronized with the car, then ECM will not recognize this without a dealer running the software update.

So the crank handle just came off? There is a clip. you didn't look hard enough. You have to put the clip tool behind the handle and push down to get the clip out. To see it you have to pry back on the door panel and use a flash light.

Are you using a key with a "Chip"? or a copied one?
You can get the engine to "ON" position with a crafted key that'll open the doors, but without the proper coded key the Ignition won't go off.

it could be your anti theft,if you have another key try it

You will want to find out if you are not getting spark or not getting fuel.
If no fuel, then bad fuel pump, plugged fuel filter, or bad fuel pressure regulator, or bad fuel pump relay.

If no spark, then bad crank sensor, or ignition module, or coil packs.

Try unlocking the driver door with the key.Then try to start the car. Hope this helps.

Possible causes:
1. The STARTER is giving out.

2. The BATTERY is weak and doesn't have the cranking amps it needs.

A local autoparts store will normally test these two things for free.

try to get a breaker bar and socket on the crank shaft bolt c if the motor will turn if it duz check the wiring at the starter

are you using the original key for the car because it sounds like a theft system problem I had a 2000 jeep that did the same thing it would start for a bit and then quit on me found out that the key has a chip in it so the key i got cut works for the lockes but cant use to run the car
