The starter soleniod is on the starter, if you look under the front of the car at the motor wher it meets the trany you will see the starter, its best to replace the complete unit, this is not like older fords where there was a soleniod up on the wall and starter on the motor, this is all on one unit, heres a diagram pictur to help you , hope the info helps , good luck.where is the starter solenoid located in a 94 ford - johnjohn2_16.jpg

94 ford e350 van wont turn over when I turn the key it just makes a buzz sound good battery checked cables

Sounds like either the starter or starter solenoid. With the key in the "On" position try using one side (either positive or negative) of a pair of jumper cables. Locate the starter solenoid and clip one lead to the battery side of the solenoid, and just quickly touch the other lead to the other side of the solenoid. If the starter engages, replace the solenoid. If not, carefully check the positive cable from the battery to the solenoid for cracks, exposed wire, corrosion and good, tight connection. Good luck.

I have a 1995 Ford Taurus and it wont turn over? It doesn't make clicking noices. Will not jump and all lights do come on.

It looks like your starter is gone.Solenoid is fine that is why you have lights. Test starter by crossing over with a screwdriver the positive and negative posts on the solenoid. If starter doesnt engage then replace it.

I need to replace the starter solenoid on a 2003 ford taurus

The starter solenoid is attached to the starter unlike the older Fords. You will have to remove the splash guard to gain access to the starter. It is located on the front side of the motor.

Trouble shooting starter problem ...

there is actually not a starter relay that is what the solenoid does. there is an ignition switch in the steering column that runs the power to the solenoid that is fused in the fusebox should be labeled crank and should be 5 amp or smaller fuse
