Hi , Check alternator that there is power being made. Also check connections to and from battery.
Make sure connections are clean and not corroded.

Hope that helps

So far we have replaced the alternator battery and relay. The truck will start, but after five minutes of running it stalls, and will not start again.

What was the original problem that caused you to replace the battery, alternator and relay ? Had the vehicle been jumped and possibly had the cables crossed ? Was it over or under charging before replacing above parts ?

My 2005 Chrysler Pacifica automatically dies as soon as I shut the car off, but will start once jumped, it has a new battery....what is the problem?

Can be loose battery connection,or weak starter motor/solenoid.Sometimes new battery even comes weak/faulty.Get the battery bench tested at local car garage.

It can be the issue with weak battery or faulty battery or if battery is ok,then its faulty starter causing the issue.

91 gt - had a dead battery so jump starting but just getting rapid clicking sound?

The rapid clicking sound is the starter solenoid. What it's telling you is, the battery voltage is still too low. Either you have a poor connection with the jumper cables or the cables are too light to carry enough current to start the car. Leave the jumpers hooked to the other car for about 10 minutes the try it again. Make sure you have good connections the other car should charge your battery enough to start it in 10 minutes or so. If that don't work your battery may be shot or you have a bad battery cable, loose or corroded connection on your car.

91 ford temp w/new alt. ran good for a few days but now it died again and the amp light is on. Can jump it off and it will run for a while. Has new alt and new battery. Also , when you get on the brakes...

HI there
Try checking a few things first like jump start again and then take off the earth lead only{black} and let it run for 6 minute on idle then turn on the head lights main beam ,,if the engine dies in about 2 minutes then the Alternator isent working full power as it should be pumping out 13.5 volts min and the lights should be bright and stay on... if not you have a Alt problem still like a bad feed to alternator or a bad connection on the battery post or a loose wire from engine to body {earth wire } also check out the relay to Alt ..
Let me know how you get on . RON

Hi Mike
Try lightly tapping the starter with a spanner and at the same time turning the key to start, if it starts you need the starter overhauled.

Strange starter behavior in 91 Toyota 4x PU

Sounds like a short in the system - voltage is dropping off before it can fully energize the starter. Try a remote starter, where you jump the battery to the starter. Leave the ignition on, and briefly energize to turn over. This will tell you whether the engine will run or if the short prevents it. If it runs, look for a short in the ignition system.
