Passenger side manual window stuck half down

My passenger window has been a tough one for a while and I never let people use it, but I recently forgot and put it down to push the mirror back out after a car wash. Now I managed to pull it almost all the way up and the crank is STUCK and I don't want to break it or the window. It has about 2 -4 inches to go at most but I ca't pull to much more since the gap is shrinking. I know taking the panel off may help but any suggestions once I do that? Or any other help? I don't care once it is up if it doesn't work as long as it goes the rest of the way up. Help please rain is due today!!!

Thanks for the suggestion but I just got the car into an accident and it looks like the mitsu is no more. I am not sure I got taken away in an ambu. but it looked bad front and back. I swerved to avoid a guy who came into my lane and swerved on leaves and damp road and hit the guardrail front and swirled again to hit the back.

The problem with my window is that the cord that goes from the roller(handle) to the window attachment that moved up and down the rail got caught in the rail. I have it propped up with a 1x4 and that holds it for a few months at a time and I can have my whole handle, track, etc replace for about $160 so I thin I will just do that IF that car is fixable at all.

Thanks for the advice anyhow. I loved that car.

Some times if there has been water exposed to the inside track of the window that is built inside the door it can start to rust, or if used incorrectly can warp and get out of line so that is the first place i would look. If you feel ambitious i would take off the door panel then roll the window as far up and down as you can and try some silicon based lubricant. Dont Use WD-40 it evaporates too quickly but unfortanately there is no quick fix for this, its going to take a little time and elbow grease ;)

Mazda 6 passenger window won't go up!!!

It sounds like it could be the window solenoid, or the window motor. It's unlikely the switches on both doors are bad. Check the solenoids and motors...

Hyundai ix35 2012 window lock stuck. passenger window half down and cant get it to move up or down

Before you replace anything, inspect the connector pins in both the driver's door switch and the passenger door switch. If you don't find any problem with these connector pins, replace the driver's door control switch.

My passenger side window wont work

Sounds like the window regulator is malfunctioning. The vehicle should still be covered under the manufacturers warranty.

Passenger Window Stuck all the way Down

Try switching the power window switch from the passenger side to the drivers side. Before you do that try with the switch on the up position, wiggle it from side to side. The contacts may be worn and by wiggling it may make contact. Other then that try to park it in side or garbage bag taped to keep rain out till you get it to the shop.
Hint, take it to a Auto window repair shop to replace the switch if it's bad or if the motor is bad. They have more experience to removing the door panels and removing the power window regulator (motor) if that needs to be replaced.
Good luck and hope this helps.

Power windows sticks. intermitantly stops working for awhile.

Have same problem passenger side window goes up, feels resistance, rolls down half way.  Had been able to hit door on driver side to get window to go up but now it just stays down.  Agree with gspotlight, hate this!  So not impressed by Infiniti.    Having the windows do this is as good as leaving me stranded.
