Question about Buick Roadmaster

2 Answers

I grew up around cars because my dad has been in the fleet service for as long as I've been alive and before than, I'm 23. Nevertheless, what's the most common problem that Buick Roadmasters tend to have? I know my way around cars, I would just like your opinion. I just sold my 87 Cutlass and I always wanted a Roadmaster.

There really are no known problems as long as its been maitained, the only thing is if it has the vette engine they are costly to tune up, as seeing that the dist cap and rotor are behind the waterpump, besides that we have five customers that own older one and they maintain them and they lovem, all weve done over the years is brakes ,oil changes, trany flushes, tune ups, shocks ,all regular main, theres one thing i just remembered and thats the underhood fuse relay box, its plastic and the power feed melts plastic and it need to be repair because it looses power while driving or wont start, they put the power prong bolted to plastic and it heats up and melts causing a bad connection , this is an easy fix also, hope this helps.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Take it in to a place like Fleet farm or Farm and Fleet and they will do a brake diagnostic for you for free. ( well , our local stores do it for free...)
You could be getting a little brake pad hang up due to a lack of lubricant on some major brake componants. Thats what it sounds like to me...

I'd also suggest you check the trunk and make sure there no loose items rolling around...

What fuse operates the blinkers on a 1997 F150 ford truck

Cab Fuse panel Fuse # 23 is for the turn signals ( hot in run position )
Cab Fuse panel Fuse # 1 is for the hazards ( hot at all times )

If you did not get an owners manual with your truck ( purchased used ), you can download one from Ford :

Did the 1988 Chevrolet 1 Ton come equiped with a smog pump

Yes they did, and I used to maintain a fleet of them for a certain lath and plaster business in the mid 90's and most of them that I serviced were from around 1987 to 1988 and all of them had a smog pump, and I also had to make sure that they all passed a bi-annual emission inspection.

Replaced both bulbs on rear brakes. Wonder if the pod that you put the bulbs in (both) could be bad or if it's an electrical problem in a fuse? Tried changing out the #23 fuse

Honda prelude code 16 trans and 23

I took a look around online & found a website.
Per site says Code 16 is a Fuel Injector & 23 is a Knock Sensor.

These codes and page references pertain to the Helm Service Manual. You can obtain a helm manual from Helm Inc.
