Question about 2005 Chrysler 300

1 Answer

I have a 2005 Chrysler 300 Touring. - RWD - 3.5L High-Output For a few months the ABS ESP/BAS light would come on and off ... Recently, a few weeks ago, the light stays on~ I hooked-it up to a starscan ... all my speed sensors are good. Trouble code came up ... Low supply voltage ... I tested my Alternator (with the car running, multimeter read 13.9 - 14.1) therefore I dont think the alternator is the problem .... However ... when i listen to music, my dash lights dim ...or you can say they pulsate ... When i flick my highbeams on ... my dash lights dim ... Therefore it points to an alternator issue .. I hope my ABS Module doesnt need to be replaced ... Can someone help please !! Thank you :)

starrface .... thank you for your advice, greatly appreciated.
I noticed that when I first start my car, and its cold out ... my dash lights will pulsate more .. as if there is a voltage issue.
You mentioned the voltage regulator ... are speaking about the internal part of the alternator ...or are you refering the the EVR in the PCM ?
Once again, your help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you !!

You'll need someone to check the body computer for trouble codes to know what to do next. You may find an auto parts store with the right code reader to access the body computer, but most readers only access the engine computer.
Once you have the codes a mechanic can check those codes to find the problem.
