Most definitely, relieve the pressure before removing the fuel rail from the cylinder head and removing the injector from the rail along with the o-ring.

1993 dodge dinesty 3.4 fuel rail leaks how can i repair

If the metal fuel rail itself has a leak, it should be replaced. If it is leaking by an injector, the O-rings on the injectors need to be checked and probably replaced. If a fuel line to the rail is leaking, that will have to be repaired. There will be two fuel lines at the rail, the feed line in from the gas tank, and a return line from the rail back to the tank. If there is a pressure regulator on the fuel rail (it will have a short vacuum line hose to it), the regulator may also have an o-ring to keep from leaking where it mounts.

How do i replace fuel rail in 96 grand am 3100

disconnect the fuel lines at the fuel rail.then follow the fuel rail to disconnect every thing fastened to it,find the hold down bolts that fasten it to the motor(intake).unbolt the bolts.now you should blow any dirt around the areas were the fuel injectors go into the intake.disconnect the injector electrical plugs.pull the fuel rail and injectors together out of the car.you may need something to pry the rail/injectors up as it will be stuck to the intake.once out then you can remove the locking clips that hold the rail to the injectors and separate the injectors from the rail.install the injectors into the new rail in the same position as they were in the old rail.use a lubricant on the O rings when installing the injectors onto the new rail and insert the lock clips.lube the injector O rings on the end that goes into the intake and re-install in reverse order.reconnect items in reverse order and you can start the car.check for gas leaks.NOTE:if the O rings are cracked of broken replace with new injector O rings.

Gas line leaking by engine how do repair that?

Where is it leaking? If its at the fuel rail fuel pressure regulator you may need a new regulator if leaking on the metal part. If its leaking at the rail side its just the "O" ring. Relieve fuel pressure(push in valve under plastic cap right side beside alternator on rail. Remove the torx screw holding regulator bracket. Pry out and replace "O" ring, reassemble. If its not the regulator it may be a fuel injector, you need to remove the fuel rail and replace both the upper and lower injector "O" rings. This however needs the intake manifold removed to repair.

Fuel Injectors leaking

Where the injector's mount to the fuel rail and into the eng. there are o-ring's.Check the o-ring's for damage. If the o-ring that seal's the inj. to the fuel rail is damaged it will leak alot from the pressure of the pump and make the car act like it's running on 3 cylinders because there is no fuel going to the cylinder to ignite. If there is a bad seal in the area where the inj. goes into the cyl.head it will leak a little and should be fixed as well. When installing new o-ring's lube them up litely for a easier install.Be sure to clean the gas up so you dont ignite any spilled gas.Hope this help's.

Dont replace just one O ring on the injectors. You need to replace all when you replace them. It sounds like you still have O ring leaks.

How do I replace the fuel pressure regulator on my 96 pontiac bonneville? Is it something that is recommended for a mechanic, or can I do it myself? Is it causing my car to stall?

Well its easy to check find the regulator on the fuel rair next remove the vacuum line and see if there is any gas in te line if not have some one start the car if the regulator starts leaking gas out its shot. Its a easy repair take the vacuum line off loosen the big nut on the regulator and remove the smaller hold down bolt now becarefull at this point the fuel rair is under hight pressure so put a rag over the regulator or put on some safety glasses and start to wiggle or pry the regulator from the fuel rail. When u get it out match it up to the new one and make sure all the old o rings are removed from th fuel rail put the new one in start the car and check it for leaks.
