The engines are different model engines since they run off the computer im thinking that you need to set the computer to the 9.3 since the specs run the 9-5 at different frequency the enigine modules still think its a 9-5 in which you want the computer to run it at 9-3 this gives the high throttle reving

you need a laptop and your cars software to set the idle control for vehicle and possibily the proper idle control module for engine

Almost for sure this is the CPS sensor that is on the front of the ENGINE under the heat shield to the right. It's a bit tricky to replace, but not bad if you have small fingers, etc....

The engine sensors are badly wired/installed. Since i don't know what you did to them all i can say is to remove them all and start all over again.

2004 saab 9-3 turbo won't accelerate

i am the owner of a 2004 saab 9-3 that had the same problem. the car could barely make it up a slight incline.

after diagnostics, they determined that it was a faulty "pedal travel sensor" (engine code P1238), which cost $590. after labor and taxes, my total came to $747.53. yikes.

sucked to pay that much, but it fixed the problem.

Saab 9-5 need to give alittle throttle for cold engine start

the idle air control valve may be bad or just needs cleaned out. idle air control valve acts the same as a choke. if it is messing up it will cause engine not to run right.

2004 Saab 9-3 Aero. Coolant tank and car beginning to not start.

coolant is what makes the car keep cool. it wouldnt keep it from running. sounds like a gas problem. check the fuel pressure and check all the fuel compartments. take it to a mechanic.. not Saab. they will do it for cheap maybe nothing.

1999 Saab 9-5 SE

I own a  99' 9-5 V6 turbo SE.  Had the same thing.  Started smelling gas in the car, sometimes.  Instead of not starting it died (as in the engine stopped) on a barren stretch of road at night.  Towed to the Saab dealer: Conclusion?  Replaced the fuel pump and sending unit. Don't ask how much.
