Try to add the recommended coolant sealant from the dealer. If this doesn't work then mechanical repair will be required.

For instance, I have a 1997 Cadillac Deville Limousine that I acquired, and it was leaking antifreeze through the o-ring of the water pump. Replacing the water pump was indicated and did so. But, after that the head gasket was leaking as indicated by a miss and fog coming out of the tailpipe. I repaired that problem by adding a $30 can of Bar's Leaks Head Gasket Repair, the kind that doesn't require draining the coolant system. That did the trick, and haven't had a problem since (for 3 months now).

Where is your coolant leaking from? Is the system within normal operating temperature?

It's not the crank pulley , it's coming from above an leaking down around the crank pulley . It's actually the water pump which is right above the crank pulley .

How do you adjust the idle on a 2005 cadillac CTS

get qualified as a GM tech, get a real engine diagnostic analyzer, hook it up, find and fix any problems, then follow the service guide instructions for setting the idle.

the days of adjusting those yourself have been gone for 20 years. if you do not know what you are doing, leave it to someone who does, or you will make it even worse.

Coolant leaking from under car when car is running. Did not leak all night while car was off. Just got new radiator

I would think that the coolant leak has nothing to do
with the new radiator or other hoses etc that was involved
in that repair

I would check for a worn out water pump

Have to see where the leak comes from

You know it only leaks under pressure when
car is running

2005 cadillac cts base water pump replaced by unauthorized dealer. Now "check coolant light is coming on again" Any thoughts on this matter

If there is no indication of overheating, the check coolant light is probably triggered by a sensor indicating low coolant level. It's also possible that there is air trapped in the cooling system from when the water pump was replaced. Trapped air could cause the sensor to throw the trouble light. Bleed the air from the cooling system and see if the light goes out. You may have to clear the light after bleeding the system.

2003 Cadillac CTS at 225,000 miles Code P0128 comes up periodically. Any solution other than a thermostat change at $400 plus?

First off who ever said $400 to change a thermostat is trying to rip you off. The actual part is like $20 bucks max and its so easy to change. I can guide you through it if you would like.

The P0128 code is Coolant Thermostat Malfunction.

These are the possible causes for this code:
- Insufficient warm up time.
- Low engine coolant level.
- Leaking or stuck open thermostat.
- Malfunctioning engine coolant temperature sensor.

These are the possible quick fixes:
- Top OFF Engine Coolant
- Replaced Thermostat

Car leaks coolant but does not overheat leaks alot of coolant 2004 cadillac cts

find out where the coolant is leaking from, a minor leak could become a major leak at the wrong time. check your hoses. how much coolant are you having to replace. If you don't see where the water is leaking from try warming the care up or looking for the leak after you car has been driven. Be very careful hot water can cause serious burns.

Other items that you may have noticed

Replace 2005 Cadillac CTS water pump

drain the coolant.remove belt by rotating belt tensioner cllockwise. water pump pulley will require a holding tool to keep it from turning while removing bolts. access to air ratchet can sometimes eliminate the need to hold but be careful cause thats a good way to skin some knuckles. also make installation more difficult to obtain proper torque. after pulley is off just a few water pupm mounting bolts remain. clean and dry gasket surface very well before reinstalling.
