There is no ignition timing to set on these later model cars. The spark is controlled by sensors and the engines computer which will pulse the injectors and ignition coils. What kind of problem are you having?

Are you using the original key that came with the car? The chip in that key may have gone bad. Try using the spare key that should have come with the purchase of the car. You may also be having battery issues. If all else fails....call the people who really know how to rape you...DUM Dum dummmmm....the dealer

You have a problem with the blower motor resistor. This is a very commen problem on all gm cars and light trucks. The part is not to pricey. You can find the resistor under the glove box buy the blower motor. Two bolts and out it comes.

the following quote is taken from the web site from a chevy cobalt forum. if you have any more questions they might be able to help you directly.
(all it is is 2 bolts. Just take off your door panel and pull back the protective plastic and look for 2 bolts that line up with the door handle.)

Wondering what size sockets and wrenches are needed to replace pads and rotors on a 2006 chevy cobalt


get a standard metric wrench set at Sears
combination wrenches and sockets as well
you will need most of them for this vehicle for brakes and other things later like the belt, and other maintenance items. they will pay for themselves the first time you use them on your brakes

My 2006 cobalt has no maintenance schedule in owners book, how do i get one


i would check with a Chevy dealer if it is not in the book. on the cobalt the maintenance schedule is pages 6-2 through 6-18. an online PDF of this is at the link below

CALL A CHEVY DEALER, ASK THEM FOR A VIS SEARCH OF YOUR CAR, THEY WILL NEED THE VIN NUMBER. THERE IS A RECALL FOR THE FUEL INJECTORS FOR THE 2006 COBALT.
