The fuse is a safety valve in the system, it does not power anything. when something goes bad and is pulling too much amperage through the wires the fuse blows to protect the wiring from melting. when more than two electrical doodads do not work, generally they have something in common which has gone kaput because a component died. look in your owners manual for fuse block locations, generally they have a cover and inside the cover will be a legend of what each fuse is for. have an extra fuse or two and note the different colors indicate different amperage ratings. replace the fuse for the circuit which includes the windows and turn one thing on at a time until you turn something on which blows the fuse. then you either disable or replace that one thing. you could have water inside a window motor which blows the fuse each time you try and use it.

Windows don't work on a 1998 Camry

There are three fuses that can be attributed to the power window system; Door Fuse (25A), Power Fuse (30A) and Gauge Fuse (10A) which are all located in the instrument panel junction block behind the dashboard, just to the left of the steering column. If one of the fuses has blown, there could be a short-to-ground condition in the wiring circuit between the fuse and the load, or the load itself could be pulling too much amperage for one reason or another. I think it's unlikely that a fuse has blown in this situation though as the power door lock system utilizes the same 3 fuses and per the original post, the system is still functioning correctly. In that case, the most likely culprit is the power window master switch. The power window master switch simply gets used more than the other window switches and therefore tends to wear out before the others. Before performing circuit testing to confirm (or replacing the switch), make sure the child lock switch within the master switch didn't accidentally get switched to the ON position. You can read more about symptoms of a bad or failing power window switch here: https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/symptoms-of-a-bad-or-failing-power-window-switch

2004 nissan sentra power windows not working. Replaced door master switch. Replaced power window relay. Replaced 30 amp fuse under the hood.

Look for broken wires in the driver's door opening. If you don't find any, you will need a test light or voltmeter to check for power at the driver's door master switch. For any electrical testing problem, you really need a voltmeter. You can check for power to the master switch on one single wire, with key ON. You can also use the multi-meter to check the ground for the power windows right at the master switch.

Cant find fuse for power windows?

According with the Explorer Owner Guide, I suggest...
1. Check for power on the Light Blue/Black (LB/BK) wire at the master window switch.
2. Check for a good ground to the master window switch on the Black (BK) wire. This wire provides the ground circuit for all of the window motors.

If both of these are good you probably have a bad master switch(drivers master switch).

The Light Blue/Black (LB/BK) wire gets its power supply from the accessory delay relay in the Central Junction Box (CJB) located under the instrument panel. The Generic Electronic Module (GEM) controls activation of the accessory delay relay. Fuse 2.17 is a 15 amp fuse in the CJB which supplies power to the relay. Fuse F1.6 is a 60 amp fuse in Battery Junction Box (BJB) which also supplies power to the accessory delay relay. G400(ground) is located at the driver side rear of the vehicle near the tail light assembly. This connection provides a ground for the master window switch (click image for zoom).

What could cause my power locks and windows to not work replaced master control window switch Thanks

You may have blown the Power lock & window fuses when you replaced the master control window switch. Go to fuse box and check for blown fuses. Be sure to replace with same value of fuse.

Power windows quit replaced fuse under hood replaced fuse inside still have no power windows

#1 so many people make the mistake of pressing the window lock switch on the drivers master window switch, double check to be sure it is not engaged. If that is not the problem you can pop the master switch out with a small flat tipped screw driver & check for power with a test light. If power is going to the switch & the windows still won't work, replace the master switch. good luck

With a small flat tip screwdriver, pry the master window switch up & with a test light check for power to the switch, if power is present & all windows not working, replace master switch. be sure window lock is not engaged.
