You have a vacuum leak at the engine somewhere or the AC vacuum mode control switch is defective.

I have a 1999 chevy silvarado my heater\AC vents do not work properly anymore. Everything comes out on the floor.

I would suggest to check the selector switch. If there is a loose connection there you will not be able to select the direction where the air should flow.

1997 Nissan 4 cylinder truck AC works excellent throwing snowballs cold air, then it will blow hot air. Relay switch and clutch has been replaced....Did not fix problem!

sounds like compressor isn't working properly or heater vacuum is opening vent to heater core.try turning on ac and if it cuts on and off repeatedly every few seconds the freon level is not correct or high pressure switch may not be working make sure radiator fan comes on when ac is on.if all this is working properly check vacuum hoses to heater may be opening vent doors to heater.hope this helps

Dash Lights on permanent Dim/No airflow through dash vents

the light problem is a loose connection. Your vent problem is either the switch on the panel but more than likely it the little switches under your dash that open and close your vents that are not working. You may be able to look under the dash without taking it apart and see if you can see the switch that controls the vents, depending on the car your switch may or may not have a stiff wire running from the switch to the vents that closes them. If you can see it while looking at it switch your knob from air coming out the front vent to the bottom and see if the switch operates if not you could check and see it may be trying to work and is stuck and see if your able to make it work by helping it move. if still dont work then like I said before its either not getting any voltage to operate it or its the switch itself.

CANT ADJSUT THE CONTROL ON HEATER AND AIR

The controls for your heater/vent selection is inside the dash, behind the control switches you use to select the vents the heat/AC will come out.
When you move the selection levers, there's a few things that happen. Vacuum is applied to the doors (which are inside) and they open or they work using cables to move the doors or both. The different doors open, directing air flow to the vents selected.
Remove the controls from the dash (which should just be removing some screws, maybe a few small pieces of dash and pulling it out). The controls will be connected inside so they will not come out very far.
Just check to see if anything is disconnected and try operateing the controls with the heat on to see how they work.
Sometimes they just stick or the doors stick. This system is the way the 1991 models worked but since they are the exact same, it should be this way also.
Look it up in some sort of repair manual for more info. I find with these trucks, they don't heat very well using the front vents anyway. I find using the bottom vents work best for heat unless you need defrost.
The "heater" selection will atomatically use the bottom vents, "bi-level" AC will use the front and bottom vents if I remember right and regular AC will automatically use the front vents. For the trouble in removing these controls (the whole dash would need to be removed for repair) I probably would just live with the way they work if they do work atleast properly (enough heat and AC). If you find that you don't get enough heat or AC when in use, check the cooling system for proper operation and blockages/mineral buildup and check the AC system incase it needs recharging or you have leaks.

I would suggest changing the control head. You should be able to source a used unit from a local salvage yard.
