Look down between the inner fender and the front of engine you will see a fill cap i think on that yr it is black with white writing, use a flash light as it is kinda hidden. i am pretty sure it is on the left as you look at the engine. good luck

The resovior is on the drivers side near the fender, it has a green cap on it. Use only VW fluid or you will have huge problems.

SOURCE: how do you add power steering fluid at a mazda rx8

Ignore earlier post - the RX-8 has an electric power assisted steering system - there are no hydraulics, and therefore no PAS fluid.

SOURCE: Where do I add power steering fluid?

The power steering pump is in the front of the engine. You will see the serpentine belt on the pulley and it will look something like htis picture. The pump has a resevoir with a cap on top which is removable and has a dipstick built in to tell you how low you are on fluid.

SOURCE: where do you add power steering fluid?

The HHR does not use power steering fluid. The power steering is strictly an electric motor attached to the steering column under the dash. If you are having problems, you may need to have the motor replaced.

However, before you do, check the following fuses:

Underhood fuse #1 - 60A
Inside console fuse #19 - 2A

Either with kill the steering and may have been blown if you (or an uninformed mechanic) have jumped the car incorrectly.

2003 trailblazer has a knock in steering not all the time but sometime also a whining sort of like the power steering pump but dont do it much either

Have you been changing the power steering fluid every
30,000,miles when doing the trans fluid at 30,000

When you do that add some lubgard for P/S
just don't use the honda version

Get the Fluid at the dealers parts counter
& lubgard at auto parts

The knock may be a worn steering rack if you have one.
That happens when the fluid isn't changed

Where is the power steering when opening the hood? Need to add power steering fluid and don't know which tube to pour it in

You'll find your power steering by the belt. It will be the only component operated by the belt that has a fill spout.

2002 Ford Escape (my daughter just came home from school) sitting in driveway and all of the power steering fluid has leaked onto the drive. I refilled and it all leaked out again.

I don't know why you would add fluid, knowing it would leak out

Surely you can see where it is coming from and make the
necessary repair,hose etc

How and where do I add power steering fuild to a 1989 Brougham? Can't find the dip stick for the steering fuild and don;t kn ow when I should add the fuild. Can you help?

You add fluid at the P/S reservoir which is belt driven. There is a large cap on top. Remove the cap and there is a built in dip stick. Unless you have a leak you will never have to add fluid.

Need to add oil to the steering wheel system

1st of all, it's not oil, you need power steering fluid. Don't put anything else in it or you'll mess it up. 2nd, how do you know you need fluid? If you found the power steering pump and unscrewed the cap and looked inside, you've done 90% of the work already. Now just add POWER STEERING FLUID a little at a time and then screw the cap back on. Then take the cap back out and look at the stick that's on the cap. There is a line on the stick that tells you the correct fluid level. DO NOT OVERFILL is probably stamped on the cap as well. Heed this warning or you have a mess.
