97 thunderbird...new blower,sensor,switch panel, but vents won't change...vaccume leak? ...v-8

There is generally a cylinoid under the dash that runs the flaps in the car's vents to change whitch way they go, check that and also check if it has a relay in the fuse panel or under the dash it may be out. To chech the relay you can look on the back for the numbers and they will match with others in the pannel on the car just swop it out with a nother and then try if it workes then you know that the relay is bad and you need a new one. If not then you know that the cylinoid is bad and needs replaced.

How to remove bottom part of dash 1995 thunderbird

As others already explain, you don't need to remove the lower dash area to replace the ignition switch, but if you need to remove it for whatever reason, you must first remove the color matched part of the dash that lies just below the steering column by removing the three large bolts that secures it to the dash metal frame (located along the end of the cover) and then pulling it towards the seat as parallel as posible to the floor to disengage the clips that hold it to the dash, then you will see the four screws that hold the lower plastic part of the steering column cover, take them out and you're done.

How do I remove the brake power booster from a '97 Thunderbird? I'm getting a hissing sound and can feel air under the dash when I press on the brake pedal. All of the bolts, clips, master cylinder, etc...

Remove the rod going to the brake pedal, then remove the master cylinder, you may can unbolt the master, from the booster, and move it out of the way without removing the brake lines, they will give quit a bit.Now go back inside and remove the four nuts on the studs holding the brake booster in,they may be a little hard to reach, and of course remove the check valve with the hose on it,going to the booster under the hood,If this was at all helpful, please rate, thank you.
