Look in the phone book under welding or fabrication. you need to get someone on it who knows what he is doing. and the thing is over 17 years old, there might not be enough metal left there to work with.

How do you replace a 2005 pontiac vibe charcoal canister

Can't tell you where yours is exactly. But two spots that is most likely at. Under the car on the driver side, right behind the front tire mounted to the frame. Or on top of the fuel tank, You can see it, but have to drop the tank to get it out. I have never replaced one though. Fix them always. If the box is crack, I get a piece of plastic and silicone it on, over the crack. If the nipple broke off, I use a piece of copper tube, just a bigger than the hole. Heat it up, hot. Use pliers. Then insert it to the box and push the nipple on it at the same time. Do this quickly. Then smear silicone around the crack. keep the silicone close or you won't be able to get the hose connected back on.

Body damage

first need to know model year. does it have the plastic wings or metal? if the tyre has been ripped off then there is going to be damage to the anti roll bar and other stuff. you also need to have it checked for line ment or it will just go all over the road and be a waste of money to fix. frame may be bent and when they are there is no way of fixing it indicator is held in from the inside of the wing behind the plastic wheel arch. just screwed in. depending on model year. some are just clipped in.

2000 VW cabio door locks stopped working

chances are you broke the 10cent pot metal piece ($30 at dealer) that attachs to the tumbler behind the scene where the key inserts and engages the locks. The good news if your handy you can fix this. The bad news is probably it will break again (from personal experience). To fix it --- simply disengage the alarm with your fob --- remove door panel (need a star wrench to remove the parts holding the panel) -carefully pry the outer panel of the frame --- peel back the plastic to acess the cavity of the door - - locate the broke piece and replace (make sure you keep track of the sequence, meaning take a picture of the unit befoe you start and as you dismantle it) hopefully this helps!

I'm changing the stabilizer bar and link bushings. The manual says to raise and support the vehicle, but does not say where to support the vecle at...the frame or the axle. Thanks for the help

You should support the vehicle from the frame. The most common support areas are just behind the front tires on the frame just below the forward most part of the front doors. In the rear just in front of the rear tires below the rear most part of the rear doors.
If you are just lifting the front of the jeep be sure to place blocks behind the rear tires to keep the jeep from rolling off of the jack stands and crushing you.
Remember to be careful and use caution when working under a vehicle.

Good Luck

My car is shaky every time i hit a stop light?

you should keep all four tires on the ground !!!! LOL ! your rotors or brake pads are bad. do you feel it shake in the steering wheel ? Check these three items and im sure it will fix.......1) jack front car up and try to move front tires in all directions, does it feel loose at all? if yes check tie rod ends, upper and lower ball joints. 2) check brake pads for wear, heat from pads warp the rotors and cause the break pedal and steering to shake or vibrate. 3) If nothing can be found wrong with the tie rods or ball joints i recommend changing the rotors and brake pads, a pretty cheap fix.

Broke to passenger tire off

The wheel is mounted to the A-frame assembly. It would be pretty tough to shear the axle without damaging the A frame too. Chances are that it and the axle will both have to be replaced. The good news is that it's not all that complicated. You'll (mostly) need a jack + stands, a good socket set, break-over bar and a manual. I prefer Chilton's but Haynes will do. Get the assembly used from a reputable salvage yard. The wheel is probably shot too, even if it "looks" OK. I could explain every little detail here but, it wouldn't be enough. You need the book. The pictures and diagrams will help the job be a lot less intimidating. You CAN do this. It's not rocket science although mechanics sure like to charge for this job like it is. Dedicate 2 full days and don't stop (meaning don't put it on the back burner) until you're done. It's a lot easier to remember your steps an hour later than a week later. Might go smooth and be done in 4-6 hours but don't depend on it.

Need to replace brake line from rear axle forward on a 1996 gmc sierra 1500 pu xcab. i need a diagram.

Chanses are it broke behind the gas tank wear it runs along the frame rail. You don't need a diagram to fix that, just unhook it at both ends and break it off or cut it off buy the tank and take the pieces with you to a auto parts store and they will match it up with new line, just take a tape measure and measure from the rear axel to the front block or perportioning valve, and don't worry about the piece behind the tank, just run the new line alongside the old one behind the tank unless you want to pull the tank out.

REMOVE THE AIR BAG SENSOR, CLEAN CONTACTS, AND REINSTALL. ITS LOCATED BEHIND THE CENTER PORTION OF THE FRONT GRILL, ATTACHED IN FRONT OF THE RADIATOR, ON THE FRAME . CLEAN THE ATTACHMENT POINTS, THE BOLTS, WASHERS, AND BRACKET TO FRAME CONTACT. THE SENSOR MUST BE GROUNDED TO THE FRAME TO WORK PROPERLY
