thanks but this still hasn't solve the problem.

The driver door simply not responding to the remote control key at all.Normally when the car is fully locked there should be a small led light flashing on the driver door, but now that light is off all time.Sometime when i manage to open all the doors the petrol cap is locked. So i have to press open and close repeatedly to get the cap open before i can fill the tank. Some people suggest its the door mechanism. What do you think please?

    regards

    Hello,

I have the same problem with my Ford Galaxy 2003. Central doors lock system is working for all doors except driver's door. This door works only manual, means, I should look separately drivers door and the others. Remote control is not working anymore for driver's door (and is not related with battery on the key, bcs by pressing remote control looks all the doors except driver's one). By locking/unlocking manually driver's door only open/close drivers door (not the rest of the doors) like been disconnected from the central locking system. Also the small red led in the door is not lightning (is always off) anymore. I brougth car to the local Ford Garage in my village and they couldn't found the problem.

    Please help me!.......

    Manuel.

Hi kifixya!

The doors lock automatically at road speed and must be unlocked with the unlock switch before they will open (with the exception of the driver's door). This is how they were designed to work.

To unlock all doors with the remote keyless entry, hit the button twice (like double-clicking a mouse); the first unlocks the driver's door; the second push unlocks the remaining doors.

Hope this answers your request, andgood luck!

    Hi KC...

Does the keyless entry remote seem to be getting less responsive? It might need battery replacement...

Does the driver's side door power lock work from using the door powerlock switch? If not, that door lock actuator is probably bad; if so the problem lies in the keyless entry system.

Does the driver's side door unlock from the keypad code? If it does, but still does not from the remote, this would narrow the fault area within the keyless entry system.

KC, in order to gather further information on your problem, I need to know what year make and model of your car, as this was not entirely clear in your original posting.

Get back to me with this information and I'll conduct further research!

    Thanks!

Door is loked on rear driver side want open

Won't open from outside? Won't open from inside? Equipped with power door locks? IF so, and won't open inside/outside, suspect stuck power door lock actuator. Sometimes working the lock/unlock button will make the door unlock. If not, the door will require disassembly from inside to determine what the failure may be. If the door needs disassembly while in the closed position, the paneling/clips may get damaged FYI

Drivers door and fuel cap not locking with central locking have to lock door with key also fuel cap does not lock all other doors lock and open with central locking drivers door opens with central locking

Hello Alan,

I would suspect the fuel flap actuator has failed. Open the trunk. In the right rear corner is the access cover. Open it and you'll see some insulation matting near the top. Behind it is a fuse/relay carrier, I believe either fuse 55 or 56 is blown. If so the fuel flap actuator needs replaced. The fuse also controls the central locking system.

More than likely your front driver door module has failed.  You will need to replace this module and readapt the key fobs for locking and unlocking

Door loke not warking

if its centrally locked via keyfob then i wuold look at the motor. if its manual then there will be a problem with the rear of the lock where you will find a fixing plate and a linkage similar to your gearsing system but smaller, make sure that all this is intact and then try lock again. if this does not work then you will have to explain more.

Central Locking not working

Hi Craig,
I'm running a E34 Tds Touring with a similar problem, my rear doors and tailgate have dropped of the central locking circuit.
I have been told it is the Central locking Module a large black box under the dash that is faulty, apparently a common problem.
Hope this points you in the right direction,
Please remember to rate my effort!
