Hi ,Thanks for the reply. No it's not a Pajero but a pick up. I have since managed to get a reply from the local Manufacturer , its is a local factory fitment and the control unit is located in the passenger kick panel, the operation is still as you advised.

    Thanks Again.

    Mike

Being from South Africa I'm going to assume this is a Pajero.
The light will flash when the control unit senses that the locker is not engaged or disengaged depending on the switch position.
If you have a long wheel base look under the right hand rear seat (short wheel base behind the trim panel in the load bay). There is a small compressor that supplies the vacuum needed (about 0.3-0.5 bar) to operate the difflock. Confirm that it is in fact working by removing the vacuum line from the pump when you operate the difflock. It also has an integrated vacuum switch which detects when the correct pressure is reached and then switches off the pump so check for leaks on the hose if the pump runs continuosly.

I failed to mention the control unit itself is also situated here. The diagrams I have are unfortunately copyrighted so cannot be posted.

All my lights work on my 2005 ford focus except the lower brake lights and turn signals. all fuses are good.

Do you know anything about automotive electronics ?
Stoplamps
The stoplamps are part of the rear lamp assembly. When the brake pedal is applied, the stoplamp switch supplies voltage to the generic electronic module (GEM) and the high mounted stoplamp. The GEM then supplies voltage to the rear lamps.

Turn Signal Lamps and Hazard Warning Lamps
The turn signal lamps and hazard warning lamps system consists of:
  • Hazard switch
  • Multifunction switch
  • GEM
  • Turn signal lamps
When the multifunction switch is placed in the LH or RH turn positions, a voltage signal from the GEM is routed to ground. When the GEM detects the multifunction switch in the LH or RH turn position, the GEM supplies voltage to the appropriate turn lamps in a flashing manner. When operating correctly, the turn lamps flash approximately 80 times per minute.
When the hazard warning switch (located in the upper part of the center console) is switched on, a voltage signal from the GEM is routed to ground. When the GEM detects that the hazard switch is switched on, the GEM supplies voltage to all the turn signal lamps in a flashing manner. When operating correctly, the hazard lamps flash approximately 80 times per minute.

I have a 1994 Ford F150 and it keeps blowing my 15 amp fuse for my instrument lumination and my tail lights. The Amp warning light has been on for awhile but I don't know why. It flashes 3 times, pauses,...

Obviously a short to ground somewhere. Is there a trailer hitch on this truck? Look there for possible wiring problems. Get a wiring diagram to locate connectors on a circuit to disconnect, then you will isolate the problem and look/search the wiring harness for shorts to ground. Check both taillight lamp housings for any wiring problems, splices, etc.

Amp warning light says there is a problem with the alternator. have the charging system checked.

Check engine light would flash like you stated as well as the airbag light if equipped. Just search the code on Google.com with your application to find code description. Hope this helps some.

Need Help. My 2005 Dodge Ram has the abs and brake light on, and the speedo is not working. I have changed the speed control sensor on the rear diff and the transmisson 2 times, though maybe I got a bad...

The ABS and BRAKE warning lights are on in the cluster because there is an active fault in the ABS module. The speed sensors that you have replaced are not direct inputs to the instrument cluster. Your truck should have one or possibly two front wheel speed sensors and one speed sensor in the rear diff. These are all direct inputs to the ABS module which are then calculated and sent out on the "bus" communication wire which is read by the cluster. It would be much easier to diagnose this problem by knowing what the active codes are in the ABS module.

Check to see if the plugs on the wheels are plugged in check that the pins are all the way into socket, that your ABS problem, next check to see if you knocked loose the wire on the differential most likely cause and be sure to top off power steering fluid. Check that the fluid level is ok on the Diff. if you need more help let me know and thanks for using Fix-ya and rate if this was helpful.
