The fuel pump relay has to be checked.Usually, when this relay fails it gets stuck in the on position, allowing the fuel pump to continue running even though the car is turned off.Fuel pump relay is under dash above E-brake. Fuel pump relay has 2 White with black stripe wires thar are 12 volt with ignition on.

CAR WON,T STAY RUNNING REPLACE IDLE CONTROL SENSOR,EGR,MAP SENSOR,STOP ALL AIR LEAKS.

Have you checked fuel pressure? Maybe the fuel pump or fuel filter is not providing enough pressure at the fuel rail for the injectors to work.
Also, clean the mass air flow sensor with a sensor- safe cleaner.
Good luck.

See another mechanic,P0191 means fuel pressure rail circuit./performance. once this code appears there is no use in taking a fuel pressure reading, the purpose for the fuel rail sensor is for the fuel pump performance,it adjust voltage to the fuel pump as vehicle load increase it commands the ECM to give more voltage to the fuel pump, you must satisfy the fuel pressure rail sensor first,or you will do nothing but stall out.

Changed gas rail now not enough fuel pressure to keep car running

Hello! There was a RECALL Bulletin for your vehicle which replaces the fuel rail...I'm mentioning it due to the care that must be taken with"O" rings and the Fuel Pressure Regulator...You need a copy of this Recall...It shows the exact step-by-step procedure...There is a strong possibility that you missed a step which is causing the fault...Here is my E-Mail...

Have to turn switch off 2 or more times to start first thing in morning then smell gas. if shut off and restart after a short stop after warmed up popps and back fires and bearly runs like flooded have to...

If you smell fuel, then there is a fuel leak. If the fuel is leaking, then the fuel system is not able to hold proper pressure in the fuel rail. Find the source of the leak and repair. The leak is most likely small, and when you cycle the key, the pump can pressurize the system, but not to its full pressure rating. Fuel pressure is a critical criteria that must be consistent at all times for proper engine performance.

Car died in front of house, would crank, but not start...fuel pump has been buzzing for a while so i assumed it went out, replaced pump & filter, sadly cant get it to start. checked all fuses, relays...

No pressure at fuel rail either mean a clog in the fuel lines or filter...or a failed or incorrectly installed pump. If you have voltage at the pump when you are cranking the engine over recheck pump and fuel filter. also try applying shop are to the fuel lines when disconnecting at pump and fuel rail to clear any clogs.

That is a broken or rusted fuel line. It only leaks when the fuel pump is running.
