If the fuel filter is clogged up it might not supply enough gas to the engine.

But, it's likely that it's something else. If the car runs a all the fuel filter is probably not plugged up.

Check for fuel and spark when the car stalls or quits on you..

check your fuses as a start then check relays and then fuel pressure because the filter could have only 1000 miles on it and have problems with it and it could also be the coil pack died on it .

The engine on my 2000 MPV cuts out and dies when I press the accelerator. After it sits for an hour or so, I can travel for 20 min. or so before the problem starts again. HELP!

if its been a while change the fuel filter and then have the fuel pressure and volume checked.these symptoms are very common for a fuel pump problem.

My 1996 chevrolet caprice is run out of gas i put 15 dollers in it and it will not stop now i check the fues it good what now

check for blockage at your fuel filter first. Since thaty is the easiest to check if your getting fuel to come out the filter, move on to your injector. There is a good chance that when you ran your car out of gas nit sucked some sediment into your line and blocking the line somewhere. Let this be a lesson to everybody, never run your car completely out of gas. VERY BAD!

Resently ran out of gas now cars running bad / 93 caprice

Change the fuel filter again and if you have fuel injectors, you need to get them sleaned....I believe some of those oil one stop service places will do it. If you have a carb, you need to blow it out....but change that filter....maybe even a few more times if you had that stuff come out the first time.
