It sounds like the A/C system might be low on freon. I would check the low side and high side pressures.

2004 ford expolorer air conditioning will not stay on

I would suspect the AC compressor cycling switch (located in low pressure line from compressor) or a AC cutoff wide open throttle relay ( in under hood fuse and relay center) would be causing this problem.

1997 ford escort idles rough when hot

1997 escort idles rough, the first thing is to make sure the throtlebody plate is clean. This sounds like the idle may be staying to low at times if it smooths out with ac on, when the ac is turnned on the computer raises the idle a touch to make up for the strain on the engine from the ac compressor, clean throtlebody and look at and clean idle air control valve, if this valve is not controlling the idle when needed the engine will idle lower than normal and cause a rough idle.
Another thing is the sparkplug wires, take a look at those, if at night or with a good eye use a spray bottle and spray a mist over the wires and watch for any sparking, this spark may be very small so look at each wire closely or may be big enough to see and hear. this is where i would start. good day.

I have a 2001 Ford Mustang V6, the ac is blowing warm air. We checked the refrigerant and it is full. The ac compressor will kick on for a few seconds and then kick off. Why is the compressor not staying...

it's either low (in spite of your readings) or your a/c clutch is not working correctly or you have too big an air gap in the clutch.
First, just disconnect the 2 pin connector from the a/c pressure cycling swithc and jumper the 2 pins with a wire to force the clutch to stay engaged. See if it blows cold then, and stays engaged. You can run this way for about 15 minutes before you have to pull the plug.
report reulsts.

2005 pt cruiser touring edition idles and runs fine until I turn on the AC... Idling with AC on it's very ruff and it cycles through almost stalling and then correcting itself every 5 seconds. Driving...

Blasts Freon out of the compressor? Have you witnessed refrigerant gas being expelled, and if so, from where? Be precise with your description.
Does the AC get cold?

If you're experiencing rough idle when the AC is on, then check the IAC (Idle Air Control) valve and circuit, including looking for any blocked ports under the valve (you'll have to remove the IAC valve).

Also - observe the compressor with AC on to see if the compressor is cycling on/off every few seconds. If yes, then you'll need to have the system checked for proper pressures.

AC not cool at idle

since you have taken the first step of checking the freon the next thing you should add is does the ac blower stay the same speed or change as you go faster i would check to see while the engine is running open the hood watch the clutch turn on and how long it stays on if can have someone push the pedal to rev the engine if if the clutch doesn't kick on while idle then the clutch is at the point where the rpm of the motor force it to kick on and it is bad and well you now what will be need to be done then but first try changing the ac sensor for the compressor it tells it when to come on and when to go off when the car is running period try this first no point of spending a couple hundred for a compressor

Groaning Noise While AC is on

this sounds like the AC compressor is failing, the engine idles slower in drive so noise is more apparent. you are likely going to need to replace it soon.

95 caddy AC switch wont engage??

If you have a low freon warning you will need to unhook the battery to reset the system before the compressor will run.
