code p0221 refers to throttle position sensorB/accelerator pedal position (APP) sensor B--range /performance problem====causes accelerator cable adjustment ( broken)--TP/APP sensor
It also refers tp throttle position switch B/ accelerator pedal position (APP) switch B-range/ performance problem===same cause as before.
Error Code: P0221 Description:
Throttle Position (TP) Switch/Sensor B
Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) Switch/Sensor B Range/Performance Problem Possible Cause:
- Accelerator cable adjustment.
- Throttle position (TP) switch/sensor .
- Accelerator pedal position (APP) switch/sensor.
- Check valve clearance, adjust if required.
It sounds like either the mixture is bad or you need a new 02 sensor. If you have never replaced the o2 sensor I would get that done anyway. Next I would get a general tune up and have your throttle body cleaned.
