You should be able to get a used one for $100-$200, then about a $100-$150 labor, depending what a shop charges.

I'm replacing the ignition Lock cyl. in my 92 camaro RS and I'm having trouble running the orange wire connected to the new ignition lock cyl. through the steering column. Is their any tips on how...

When I did this on my 91 I attached a small wire (safety wire) to the leads before I pulled it out so I could attach it to the new wire and pull on the other end to feed it down the column.
I'm betting you pulled it out already without doing this.
You can try to feed a more rigid wire down the column so you can do this. Long enough so you can twist the end around the plug at the tiop and pull at the bottom. I know the small wire from the ignition lock would just bunch up as you push because is flexable.
It also helps to have the steering tilted so the column is straight for a smoother shot at it.

Smoke from 95 Camaro steering column

Where ever there's smoke, there's fire. This could be the multifunction switch arching and burning the lubrication in the assembly. Multifunction meaning, one switch that operates the turn signal wipers, cruise etc.

1991 camaro switch for you low and high beams

There is a metal rod that runs down the side of steering colmn and pushes on the dimmer switch. The dimmer switch is on the steering column to the left of the steering wheel. You will have to unbolt the column where it connects to the dash and rest it (the steering wheel) on the driver seat to get to the switch.. The switch is adjustable, just loosen the screws and slide it up or down to get proper adjustment.. Hope this helps.
