My 1998 honda civic died when i was driving it. It cranks but dosn't start it also makes a noice at the beginning could it be the fuel pump?

How many miles are on it? Did you have the timing belt changed at 90,000 miles? Is there spark to the spark plugs? Do you have fuel pressure at the fuel rail? A broken timing belt will make the car sound alot different than normal when cranking.

MAKE SURE SPARK PLUGS AND WIRES IN GOOD CONDITION, REPLACE DISTRIBUTOR CAP AND ROTOR,CHECK FOR SPARK AT SPARK PLUGS,IF YOU DONT SEE SPARK CHECK TO SEE IF POWER GOING TO COIL IF NOT CHECK IGNITION FUSE.IF FUSE OKAY AND POWER GOING TO IGNITION COIL,COIL FAULTY OR IGNITER UNIT FAULTY. CHECK FOR FUEL PRESSURE MAKE SURE FUEL FILTER BEEN CHANGED.FUEL PRESSURE SHOULD BE 40 PSI. IF YOU GETTING SPARK AND FUEL. YOUR IGNITION TIMING OFF OR VALVE TIMING OFF DUE TO A WORN TIMING BELT.

My honda accord died while driving, and will not start, tried replacing fuel filter, there is fuel pressure and it cranks over but will not start

What you're describing could be a broken timing belt. To check the timing belt, if there is not a visual inspection hole, you will need to take off the timing belt cover or the valve cover.

The other possibility is a ignition/spark problem. Check for spark by pulling one of the spark plug wires, and look for spark as the starter is cranked. If no spark, check the distributor wiring and connections, If all good, it may be the ignition coil has gone bad.

Also, to be sure you are getting fuel, pull one of the spark plugs. You should smell fuel coming from that cylinder after the engine is cranked.

1993 honda accord has no spark at plugs also none after coil all fuzes look good . does not show engine code

Replace the distributor,it has all the components in it,that would go out,But check the fuel pump pressure first,to see if the fuel pump is even working, then see if the rotor button is turning.Pull the distributor cap off,and turn the engine over, see if the rotor is turning,if it is not, then the timing belt has broke.

Honda Accord won't start, when it does it sputters and has no power

Sounds like the timing belt is in need of replacing. Another thing to check is a plugged up cat. converter.

94 honda accord 2.2l engine misfires at lower rpms

Check for a vacuum leak somewhere. When you have pressure by going faster it will not be a problem but if slow it will cause a problem. TLT

1992 Honda Accord LX won't start - ignition problems

I would remove the distributor cap and crank the engine over . If the rotor does not turn , then you need to replace the timing belt. The timing belt needs to be replaced every 60 K. If the rotor turns then make sure you have spark to a spark plug. Run a compression test on each cylinder. The basics to run are compression, spark, fuel and timing.

2.2 no spark, but getting fuel.

You need to remove the upper timing belt cover and make sure that your timing belt didn't jump. All it takes is the belt to jump one tooth on the sprocket to create this problem. One tooth equals 17 degrees of timing. Make sure that you can hear the fuel pump come on as well when the key is in the "on" position.
