Remove interior door panel, and water dam plastic, unbolt glass from track(should be able to get to the bolts without too much trouble) then shift glass off track and slide up until you have clearance you need. be sure to put suction cups or something of that nature on the glass to prevent it from dropping back down while you are working in there, there are alot of very sharp edges and it hurts like hell when the glass drops and catches your hand! been there, done that!

to get the window up without the motor you will have to take the door panel apart. You will have to take the motor out of the loop to move the mechanism, raise the window and put the locked motor back in to hold it up.

I have a 2001 Ford F150 SuperCrew, the drivers side window is stuck in the down position. There is no sound of the motor. How do I get the door panel off. And is it an easy motor exchange?

Good directions with pictures on removing the door panel from Muth Signal mirrors
http://www.muthco.com/support/manuals/
Search on the page for the MY range and type under the Ford section.

The motor is easy to remove with a hole saw, if this is the motor that is causing the issue.

Best to remove the door panel, and apply power directly to the pigtail on the motor, 1 direction is up, reverse polarity is down.
This is what the pigtail looks like on the motor in the door

Passenger power window does not raise

Could be an issue with the motor itself.
Remove the door panel, and unplug the power window motor pigtail, and apply power directly to the motor. One direction is window up, reverse polarity the window goes down.
Some good directions with pictures on removing the door panel are from Muth Signal mirror.

http://www.muthco.com/support/manuals/

Search on the page for the MY range and type under the Ford section.
Obviously only follow the direction to the point of removing the door panel, no need to remove the mirror.

Once the door panel is off, you can follow the wires to the power window motor.
This is what the pigtail looks like

If the motor does not raise the window, follow the thread at F150online on drilling the door to remove the motor and thump it against your rear tire
http://www.f150online.com/forums/electrical-systems/237795-removing-window-motor.html

Could be the carbon dust in the motor is holding it up. Could work for a short time, could work long term. Worth a try before repalcing the motor @ ~ 140.00

I have a 2002 Ford F150 4 door (rear doors are not full sized) I rolled the passenger window down now it will not go back up, I can hear power to it only when I press the button to go down, any ideas??

the contact wire from the switch is not making contact with the motor. Use a test light, and blunt flat instument with this fix. You have to remove the door panel. Locate the window motor and then the power leads to it. Without disconnectineing anything, ground the clip on the test light, and while the button is pushed note the one the is working, and thus lights up. If they both light up when the button is pushed respectively, then the motor is bad. If the one that is not working doesn't light up then the power to the motor is the problem. See if there is power to the switch, it is very likely that the problem is either that switch, or the contact with the motor. I hope this helps you. 1989 Ford F150 power window

you have to disconnect the negative side of the battery so you won't kill it then remove the door panel look for hidden screws behind the arm rest and behind what looks like little doors that you have to use a screw driver to open once that is removed you will find a plastic sheet just cut and peel this back (you can use duct tape to replace it when you are done) also put on gloves because inside the doors there is sharp edges, you then can see the motor and you will need to break off the rivets but you can put the new one on with just a small bolt and nut and use lock tight

If the window motor runs then perhaps the window channels need lube, get a can of silicone spray lube and apply to both window channels until it drips out the door bottom and then retry, if no change replace the regulator.
