SOURCE: How do I replace a lowbeam headlight bulb on a 2008 GMC Acadia

You will have to go through your mud guards. Remove your tire, and look inside your wheel well, you will see two part mud guard, front half and back half. Just remove the 7 screws from the front half, 5 on the wheel well itself, and two on the bottom, retaining screw to the bumper, now depending on which side you're looking at anywhere from 5-7 plastic pop-its. Use a flat tip screw driver to loosen the pins up, then remove the pop-it studs. There are two on the bottom front that connect to the vehicle frame. Once this is removed, you can access your headlight assemby to replace both bulbs. Note, you will have to do this to replace your fog light bulb should it go out as well.

SOURCE: GMC Acadia Battery?

I have been having this problem after 40K miles now. I dont know if its the battery or the fact that GM, in all its infinate wisdom (NOT) decided to use a LAN system for everything in the car. This means that EVERY circuit is ALWAYS powered, whether the car is on or not. This is why, if you try to find a switchable fuse to tap into for a radar detector or Garmin you wil be unsuccessful. Also, this is why the cigarette lighters always on. Im not sure what the actual load is on the system when the car is off due to the LAN being powered, but it could be enough to kill the battery after a couple days if the alternater hasnt been run to charge it up.

i have had a radar detector hooked up for about a year now which is ALWAYS on, even when the car is off and it has finally started to take its toll on the battery, I think. The problem isnt your specific car, its the way they designed ALL of them.

Need to replace 2008 Acadia headlight

I had the same problem. You think it would be easy like any other car but its not. to have a headlight changed it cost me $100.00. you need to bring it to the dealership. They need to take to bumper off and hoist it up. wish they told me that when I bought it.

How do you replace a low beam headlight on 2008 Acadia. No instructions in manual. Thanks, gil

The front bumper cover has to come off to remove the headlight assembly! Yes, sounds very stupid, but it's the truth. The parking light on mine went out, hours later it was fixed. If you have the HID headlights you might have to replace the entire assembly.

Changing the headlights. Do you need to remove the front bumper???

Hi, viewers! For the 2008 Acadia headlights replacements, standard procedures require removal of the front bumper fascia for ease of movement and effective replacement or repair jobs. But in actual practice, this isn't always so. As much as we can manage, we dont have to reach to that point of bumper removal unless absolutely necessary. The alternative approach will require some patience and wits to work your way around ,as fast and as effective as possible. Practice makes perfect as they say. : )

How to change your headlamp in a 2008 gmc acadia

Open the hood and look in the area behind the headlight itself. You will see the wires running in to the light through a collar. Turn the collar counter clockwise and remove the assembly. Remove the bulb and plug in the new bulb and reverse the process to replace.

How do you change the front parking light (inside the headlight bezel) on a 2008 GMC Acadia?

I believe you will need to open hood. At the top of the headlamp will be a small bar used as a pin to hold the headlamp assembly. Slightly turn and pull out. Be sure to hold the headlight as it may just fall out. Once you move headlight to side you should have easy access to parking break.
