If it is a gas engine it should use 5 quarts, unless it has a heavy duty oil cooling system, then it may need up to seven quarts. Fill the motor with the first five quarts, the check the oil level with the oil dipstick. If its still low add one half of a quart at a time while checking level each time you add a half quar untill it show full on the oil dipstick..

If not in the tank it will be on the frame rail near the tank . I dropped a 42 gallon tank , after draining , on a Suburban and it is a slow process to drain . Good luck

1994 f350 diesel loose oil pressure as rpm increase what is it.

How many miles on the engine? Replace the oil w/ a 75/25 blend of Motor oil and Lucas Oil Stabilizer. This may help some but I'm afraid the engine needs an inframe overhaul.

It overheated, I cooled it off, put two gal of liquid in drove two miles and it spewed white smoke and ran rough

sounds like a intake gasket or a head gasket check the oil if it looks a white milky look , it;s the head gasket .

I have a 2005 Ford F350 6.0 Diesel and It wont start after the motor gets warm. It also starts rough when cold. When it is running it runs great. Any help would be appreciated.

I had this same issue and luckily my F350 2006 was still under warranty. Basically there is a high pressure oil system that has a tendency to leak internally. You won't see any oil leak. When cold the oil has enough viscosity to keep the pressure sensor from not allowing the engine to start. When the engine is warm the system doesn't reach required pressure to allow the engine to start. In short it's a Ford dealer repair. Good luck.

1994 oilpan

Remove the starter, remove the flywheel dust shield, remove the motor mounts center bolt, jack the engine as far up as possiable, this will then give you access to the oil pan bolts.
