Hello. THanks for choosing Fixya! Regarding the battery, no the car does not have to reset itself. I have no idea why the salesman would tell you that. The most common reasons for stalling are related to such things as needing to change the fuel filter, changing the fuel pump, and changing the spark plugs. The best way to solve the problem is to begin by having the car's computer scanned. AAMCO repair shop now scan for free if you have one nearby.

Regarding the slipping transmission, this usually occurs when the transmission belts need to be tightened. Joe

4 thumbs up please. ty.

2001 plymouth neon heater won't blow hot air. only cold. we have changed thermostat, radiator cap and flushed radiator. not odor through vents or leaks on floor board(heater core)

There is a problem with your climate control. It is not allowing the vent to open that allows air to pass through the radiator.

1996 Plymouth Neon 2.0 installed new timeing belt and now car is only running on two cylinders, in cylinder two a missfire was detected and random multiple cylinder missfire

You have the timing belt off. If the engine computer sees the Crank sensor and the cam sensor don't line up, the engine computer will shut down two injectors. It sounds stupid, but trust me. I have seen this before.
