Hi, since the fuse are in good condition, you definitely have a malfunctioning relay. All you need to is to replace the relay....

1998 BMW 740i driver power seat and tilt not working?

If your driver's seat and the steering column adjustments are not working, check the switch assembly on the side of the driver's seat. Look at the wiring harness plug. Is it properly and securly plugged in? This is a common problem, the harness plug housing breaks and the plug comes loose.

Automatic steering wheel feature

Since both problems surfaced at the same time...this indicates they are on the same circuit. Since both features would not quit working at once, I'd bet the farm that neither is getting power. I'd start at the fuse box, If all good there, maybe a relay. Also check all other power functions if these solutions don't work to see if anything else is effected.

Driver power seat adjustment and steering tilt not

It would appear that the relay is misfunctioning. Try swapping one from nearby and when your car won't start but your seats operate then you'll know what to do. THanks, Dana

1998 528i Driver seat adjustment & steering wheel adjustment inop. Fuses 13 & 21 are good. Any suggestions? Thank you.

I had that problem. I have a 1997 528i, the plug on the side of the drivers seat under the plastic panel came unplugged. I had to just simply plug it back in, steering wheel adjusted and seat moved too. Maybe this is your problem too.

Are there two motors to the power seats--I think one has quit on

yes actually there are more than 2. If one quits working you will get seat twist or it won't move in certain directions but will in others.

Drivers side power seat and steering column don't work

i think the seat control unit controls both items. check the connections at this unit to see if they are still securely attached to the unit.

i didn't know your exact model as i could not find the 08 528i and didn't know if yours was LH or RH drive. take a look at the pic and look for box #1 under the seat.

Electrical issues, could this be a issue with this year and model

I think you should just let it be problems like this always happen with the older bmw's at times you will not even be able to move your seat or the steering colum but it will come back on before to long .
