This sounds like what is called a freeze plug There plugs in bolth sides of your engine block to prevent the blocking from cracking in the event that the antifreeze freezes sometimes its just a defect in the metal and one will rust out It could alos beyour heater hose they are also in that area so check them first But if it is the plug take a punch and a hammer and give it a shot on the far side of the plug and it will twist and you can pull it out with pliers Put the new one in with a socket that fits into the plug but tape it in don;t try to give it one big blow it willseal hope this helped

wonder if it brings a check engine light on? check your coil packs spark plugs/wires - could be a bad injector - could be a vacuum leak - could be an intake leak causing anifreeze to be introduced into the combustion chamber - same with the head gasket could be blown causing the same effect as an intake gasket most of the time if you check your spark plug they will tell you everything like oil on them would be black and oily if its been introduced to water/anifreeze could show signs

Leaks antifreeze in the back droping in the center of the transmission pan slow droping 1999 old alero vin# if it halps 1G3NL52T7XC386815

This is due to a cracked or loose hose going into your heater core. Best thing to do is replace the hose and also the clamp. This should fix your problem. Had same car with similar symptoms and this fixed it. Hoses are located behind the motor in the middle of the windshield 6 inches down. Very simple and cheap to do. Took me 10 - 15 minutes and cost 12 dollars at autozone. Hope this helps.

CHECK ANIFREEZE, THE OIL MAYBE LEAKING INTO THE ANIFREEZE,IF SO YOU NEED TO CORRECT THIS,MAYBE YOU OVER HEATED THE ENGINE? THIS BURNS THE ENGINE GASKETS, THERE FOR OIL LEAKS IN TO THE ENGINE,

The cadillac leaks anifreeze but not from radiator or upper or lower hose what could it be

The water pump bearing may be worn out and you have the antifreeze leak from the water pump or from one of the frost plugs on the engine block it self. Good luck and hope this helps, chances are it's going to be the water pump if it's the original pump.

Two leaks on the front passenger quadrant of our 2007 Sienna

Water is conensation from the air conditioning system. redish oil is most probably a antifreeze leak, does it look like a redish water? If so then its antifreeze toyota uses a pink/red long life anifreeze. most likley from a water pump which is right in that area

Anifreeze spraying out of my engine on drivers side 94 chevy s10 pickup

It has to be one of four things:

1. burst hose on radiator
2. hole in radiator
3. bad water pump
4. blown head gasket
You should be able to visually identify these by looking under the hood while the engine is running. If it is a water pump you should have heard a screeching sound prior to symptoms. If blown head gasket there will be water in your oil. Drain a little oil and see if it is creamy colored rather than black. If no antifreeze, you may see water floating on the oil.

PS- I thought of something else, it could be your radiator cap. When they go bad they let water escape. If it is spraying from behind your engine, it could be a heater hose burst. Oh yeah, if it is overheating before spraying it could be your thermostat.

Good luck,
bob

Problem with my 2000 ford taurus water pump.

I just had that same problem with the antifreeze leaking and I thought it was my water pump but I pulled the antifreeze tank off and it was cracked all along the bottom and that was causing the antifreeze to leak out real bad so I went to a nearby junkyard and found a new tank and replaced the cracked one and now it works just fine with no leaks. I hope this works for you liked it worked for me.
