How old are the calipers? Have you tried bleeding the brakes? how many miles on the vehicle? Once I have more information I may be able to give you a more definitive answer.
Thank you,
lee

Hi, if you press the brake pedal and feel that it's too hard, there can be a vacuum problem. The brake booster uses vacuum to make the brakes work. If there is a leak in the vacuum system, the negative pressure that is needed won't be present. The vacuum system needs to be checked for leaks. A bad break booster can also be an issue if the brake pedal is hard. There can also be a possibility of the inability of the brake fluid to reach a particular part in the brake system due to some obstruction.

How do I change a brake light switch on a 1990 Cadillac coupe Seville?

Should be located on top of the brake pedal such that the pedal turns it off when pedal is up. To remove, I think you just rotate the switch in its collar and it pops free. Disconnect wires, install new switch and adjust depth then turn to lock into place.

Clicking noise when applying the brakes on a 2002 cadillac seville

If there isn't a high pitch squeel when applying breaks, then your pads/shoes are worn down to the rivits. If in the rear, could be defective hardware in the brake drum/brake assembly.

Change disc front breaks 2001 seville

jack up the car and remove the tire. you will see a caliper that is the thing that looks like it is hugging the disc. there are 2 bolts on the back side of the caliper. one on top one on bottom. loosen them and then they slide back out of the way. the caliper will then slide off. remove the old brake pads. use a 4 inch C clamp with the threaded end inserted to the cup part of the caliper and the stationary part on the opposite side and tighten the clamp down slowly. this will open the caliper back up so it will fit over the new brake pads. after you have the new pads in place slide the caliper over the brakes and disc realign the bolts that hold the caliper in place, tighten, replace tire and repeat on the other side. once complete make sure you pump the brakes a few times be fore you move the car so the caliper can close in on the new brakes otherwise you won't have any brakes for the first few pumps of the pedal

89 cadi eldorado. passenger side front brakes keep going bad after a week of driving. new pads, rotor. and caliper. any thoughts?

Your problem is most likely the rubber flex hose going to the caliper. When they get old, the inner hose will soften and collapse effectively creating a check valve. When you press the brake pedal, the high pressure from the master cylinder will allow the brake fluid to travel to the caliper but when the pedal is released, the pressure from the caliper isn't enough to get past the collapse and your brake will be pressurized as if you are pressing the pedal. A quick test would be to press the brake hard and release it. Go to the wheel that has the problem and crack open the bleeder. No fluid should come out if it's normal. If fluid spurts out, change the flex hose. If one is bad, chances are the other will be not far behind so you might want to change them both.

Stiff brake pedal on 1985 seville

One of 2 issues. Either the BOOSTER went bad or the master. Also check the VACUM hose coming out of BOOSTER, the grommet maybe dry rotted, causing it to lose vacum. Good luck.
