I have a 2005 Dakota 4X4 4.7 V8 Mag could not get hose off PCV valve for 30 minutes so I cut the PCV valve in half with an all purpose key hole saw perpendicular to hose (be careful not to cut heater hoses or wires) pulled it all apart in 3 minutes flat .. replaced in under a minute...13 dollars Canadian for the part (OEM from MOPAR {designed to sit at the 45 degree angle so get the OEM part}) even if the old one is still ok it's still worth the investment to change it out anyway good or bad ....Beats oil foaming and sludge buildup that could wreck your engine:)

Where is the PVC valve location for a 2001 dodge Dakota SLT 3.9 v6 eng

The PCV valve is inserted into a grommet in the left side valve cover with a hose running to the intake manifold. On the right valve cover is another hose running to the ducting from the air box to the valve body - the PCV valve is not on this side.

I have a bmw 330i 2006 and i have oil coming out of the oil filler cap thats on top of the engine what could be the problem because the cap it self looks fine and tight

You may be having problems with the crankcase pressure regulating valve (PCV). If this is clogged or malfunctioning, pressure can build up inside the engine and blow oil out the filler tube.

2000 dakota 4.7L. When first started after sitting sounds like no oil in top motor. Sounds like valves chattering. Only last for about a second. Then starts up fine as long as it doesn't sit for awhile....

I had the same vehicle. The 4.7 oil filler tube was a design defect. I don't think there was an official recall on it, but in later years, there was a change to the design. Dodge did say that it was not a problem though. As far as the valves chattering, I had the same thing. Just takes a while for the oil to flow back up. A good resource for all of this is www.dodgedakotas.com. Does require a small membership but the information is good.

Hi I was wondering if you could tell me where I would find the pcv valve in my 2002 dodge dakota 8cyl 4.7L

Its located on the left side of the oil filler where you add oil. Slide out the breather hose and then twist and pull the valve out.

Where is the pvc valve located in the engine on a 2005 dodge dakota

The PCV valve, if it's the 4.7L then it's located at the oil fill tube, you have to turn it and pull it out to remove it. Look like THIS part replacement.

Good luck (remember rated this).

Location of pcv on 3.3 dodge caravan

Look for a large rubber tube attached to the manifold port located on the top left side (passenger) rising up and and then curving down to the rear valve cover pcv port. It is a squeeze, but work the hose off the pcv port, and "voila" the pcv valve is INSIDE the port. Pull it out with its attached grommet. Do not attempt to clean. Replace, only, and save the receipt for the engine warranty. This engine can burn oil if it is a valve seal or manifold plenum problem.
