TIMER BELT BREAKING

I am assuming you mean timing belt as these cars did not come stock with timer belts. You need to get a timing belt and fix it. Just hope that when the belt broke you did not bend any valves as that will be costly to fix.

HAS ANYONE BROKE A TIMING BELT AND VALVES WERE OK ON A 2001 CHRYSLER 300M 3.5 V6 ENGINE

It is an interference engine, so the odds of damaging the valves are high.

Is the head on the sportage an interference head the timing belt broke and i want to know if it could bend valvel?

Yes, the 2.0L engine is an interference type engine and will bend valves should the belt break. The recommended belt change interval is 60,000 miles for Federal emission vehicles and 105,000 miles for California emission vehicles. I prefer to change most timing belts at the low end of the recommended interval just to be on the safe side as the repairs can be quite expensive. Good luck, hope this helps!

2001 ford focus 4cyl automatic when pulled up behind someone car popped then died and now the starter just spins any ideas what may have happened

check to be sure the pop was not the timing belt broke. if car poped then quit, it is a possibility! if it broke car will not start !! replace if needed. Pull the distributor cap, and turn the engine over. It you see no movement, the belt is broken.

Timing belt broke did it bend any valves

This engine has been identified as an interference engine in which the possibility of valve to piston damage in the event of timing belt failure is most likely to occur, when repairing I would also replace water pump, due to pump is timing belt driven. On an 2002 VW Jetta TDI 1.9L engine, VW recommends timing belt replacement every 80,000 miles.

My timeing belt broke on my 2001 vw beetle i replaced it but it wont start

Unfortunately, it is an INTERFERENCE ENGINE, which means that if a timing belt breaks, you will bend several valves. You will have to pull the top half of the motor and have some valves replaced.

Timing belt broke -2000 ford focus zx3

Hello mawbea: My name is Roger I will answer your question. You did not say which engine is in your car. So if you have a 2.0 SOHC engine. If the belt broke you should be Ok. If you have the 2.0 DOHC engine. The likely hood of bending the valves are just about a guarantee. How ever with any engine using a timing belt it is possible to bend a valve.Should you need more help please just ask.
Please rate the quality of your answer as this way we know you received helpful information.Thank You for using Fix Ya, Roger

They are an interference engine, but you may have dodged a bullet. Once new belt is on, you may want to check, before going too much further.
