You need to try to jam something like a flat head screw driver and get a good grip on that oil filter.

fuel filter is approximately by drivers rear door underneath in fuel line. one side has a nut on filter, the other side has a plastic slide clip. just pull clip up to release the fuel line. when putting back on. push the clip all the way down so it locks in fuel line. the best way to remove fuel pressure. is to pull the fuel pump fuse and start vehicle, let it run till it dies out. dont forget the fuse when you are done with the filter! good-day !

How to channge fuel filter for 1998 mercury tracer

Usually there is a worm gear clamp holding the filter to the bracket. There are 2 plastic clips, one on each connector going to the fuel filter, remove both clips and pull the lines off the filter.

How to replace a fuel filter? I cant get the fuel lines off.

if its the old, round silver ends, you need a special tool. cheap from any auto parts store. if its the plastic kind, it has a removable plastic clip inside the line. a new filter should come with it since they tend to break. take a small screwdriver and push clip out

How do I change the fuel filter on my 2000 Excursion? New filter has plastic clips

You need a small pocket screw driver and pinch the opposite end of the clamp to remove. Normally they come with new clips as the old ones break off. And if the filter has been on a long time the clips can actually wear out and can leak fuel if you don't replace them.you also have to remove the one or two mounting bolts holding it on.

Where is the fuel filter located on a 1997 contour gl

Fuel filter replacement for the 1995-1997, 1998 Ford Contour (4 Cyl 'Zetec' 16V and 24v Duratech V6) Fuel filter is located under the passenger side of the car in front of the rear wheel. Time: 5-10 min Tool needed: One flat head screwdriver Replace this filter is fairly easy. First, have a replacment filter and absorbent material as this will spill some gas. Suggestion: Remove black caps from new fuel filter. Have those handy when removing old filter. You can use them to cap the gas that will flow out of the old fuel filter, thus saving you a small mess. Also, take a good look at how the old fuel filter looks attached. Replace the new fuel filter with the same side (IN-OUT) The fuel filter is attached via a simple screw cable. Unscrew the cable to loosen the fuel filter (It will not detach by itself). Give it enough slack to pull out once you are ready. Next ,using screwdriver, pop-off white plastic retaining clips. Remove front and rear fuel line. Replace with new filter. Connect fuel lines. Connect white retaining clips on both sides (There will be some play on the connection, but that's normal). Screw the screw cable so filter is connected firmly (Do not overtighten and make sure screw nut is visible so you can see it the next time you need to replace filter. Double check your connections. Turn the ignition to ON for 5 seconds - but do not turn the car on. This will allow the fuel pump to push gas through the filter. Turn ignition OFF. Check to see if there is leakage. If no, turn car's motor ON.

How do I replace the right front turn signal bulb on a 1999 Chevy Cavalier?

Remove the splash shield that fits across the top (under the hood). You need to carefully pry the six bolt-style plastic clips off that hold it.
The signal lamp assembly is removed by releasing a clip which is located between the headlamp assembly and signal lamp assembly. There is a slot in the top to insert a screwdriver. Push down on the clip and the signal assembly should slide right out.

Where is fuel filter at on 04 chevy cavalier

I just changed one today (5/28/05) on a 2002 cavalier. A few feet from the end of the car, located in the middle (basically right after the trunk). To change it is pretty easy if you take the plastic clips sort of off (this gave me LOTS of trouble but now I can take off this end in 2 seconds). Just pinch the plastic clip (green on my car) & then push the platic clip almost out. Then pull that side out (watch out - you will have gas come out). Then unscrew the other side. I had to take off another part to unscrew this side because of little room. Also - BEFORE you start - take off the gas cap, jackstand the car & I also removed the fuel pump fuse (located in the engine, driver side).
