Question about 2002 Volkswagen Golf
Hi p_ barber4
This problem is usually caused by a faulty lock in the luggage compartment door. Sometimes by removing the lock and motor, clean and lightly lubricate the moving pin can cure the problem.
Worth a try before you invest in a lock.
