Use this technic for to repair OBD II
Depress the odometer "Trip" and "Reset" buttons while turning the key "On." Release the buttons and watch the odometer display for the trouble codes to read out digitally.

  • 5 Depress the odometer "Trip" and "Reset" buttons while simultaneously turning the ignition key "On" and "Off." End with the key in the "On" position. Release the odometer buttons and read the trouble codes from the digital odometer.
  • 6 Locate the test port under the dash where the OBD2 scanner plugs in. Use a piece of jumper wire or even an unbent paper clip to link ports "A" and "B," initiating the diagnostic sequence. Watch the "Check Engine" light for the codes to flash.
  • or repar the P0325
  • Open the hood of your car and locate the knock sensor on the top of the engine. The sensor is located on the passenger's side of the engine block about halfway back and just below the cylinder head.

  • 2 Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the knock sensor by releasing the locking tab and pull the connector off the sensor. Set the wire aside for now. Remove the bolt in the center of the sensor with a wrench and remove the sensor from the engine compartment.
  • 3 Place the new sensor on the block and install the retaining bolt. Tighten the bolt with a wrench, making sure it is secure. Plug the wiring harness connector into the sensor, making sure the locking tab engages.
  • 4 Start the engine in your car and verify that the repair was successful. If the car is running properly, you can close the hood and drive the car normally.

    3- Turn ignition switch to Ignition and release odometer reset button. Background lighting sould illuminate, speedometer needle should sweep its full range and indicator lamps (battery, security, low fuel, check engine and cruise) should illuminate. The word "diag" should then appear.
    4 - Push the odometer reset button once and you will see the selection menu "PSSPt" with the first P flashing.
    5 - Each letter represents an area of the diagnostics module. The module that is flashing is the one you are going to check. To move from one letter (module) to the next, you push the odometer reset button one time. (from P to S to SP to t and back to P, etc.)
    P = ECM/ICM (Electronic Control Module [EFI] / Ignition Control Module [Carbureted])
    S = TSM/TSSM (Turn Signal/ Turn Signal Security Module)
    SP = speedometer

    6 - To get the DTC within an area of diagnostics, push and hold the odometer reset button in for 5 seconds and release. If there are any DTC's the code will be displayed or the word "none" will appear if there are no DTC's. Push the odometer reset button again to view additional codes if they exist.

Release the odometer reset button. Turn OFF the ignition switch. Run your bike and shut it down then recheck the DTC's again by repeating steps 1 to 9. If the code is current it will reappear.
    9 - Press and release the odometer reset button to continue to the next module.
    10 - Turn Ignition switch to OFF.
    On models not equipped with a tachometer "No Rsp" will appear when the tachometer identifier is selected.

    My 06 Jetta 2.5L has a maintenance wrench, clock and 700 showing where the odometer is when I turn my car on. What does that mean? Thanks for your help.

    It means your car needs to be serviced. You are probably at a recommended mileage service.

    I hope this helps.

    My 2006 VW jetta has a symbol of a wrench and it's meaning is not in the manual. What does the wrench symbol mean?

    This means that your vehicle requires service. Something is wrong. You can take it to Autozone and they will put it on their diagnostic machine for free. And tell you what is wrong. Usually nothing major. Just needs to be checked out.
    PLEASE RATE by checking one of the 4 thumbs ups!
    Thanks! Have a GREAT DAY!!!

    Reset service interval alarm on VW Passat-01?

    This is a mileage interval light that trips every 3,000 to 5,000 miles that indicates an oil change is necessary. You do not need a special tool to change your oil, nor do you need to bring the car in to the dealer.
    1. Sit in the driver's seat of the Passat and close all the doors.
    2. Position the trip/odometer button to display the odometer mileage reading, then hold it down with the forefinger on your left hand.
    3. Turn the ignition key to the "key-on/engine-off" position to turn on all the power options for the Passat without actually starting the engine. At this point, a service indicator light will display (in the form of a wrench).
    4. Press the minute adjustment button on the clock (or turn the knob clockwise on European manufactured Passats) and release the trip/odometer button.
    Good luck and thank you using Fixya

    Change Oil Warning won't go away.

    Depends on model and features. 2009 SEL, with no rear seat entertainment:

    Place ignition in "Key On, Engine Off" position, then push gas pedal to floor and release 3 times. Turn ignition off, and it should be reset.

    The procedure was in the owners manual in the section about the odometer and related features.
