If it has a GM V6 in it it should be inside the distributor. (flat thing, usually white with two or three prongs on each end) If you have that, also make sure the wires that go under the plate to the pickup coil are intact.

If it's a 2.5l it's under the coil. Held in with two screws for coil and two bolts for module

I have a 1989 jeep wrangler 2.5l it started stalling so i replaced the ignition coil hoping that would help but its still stalling

Could be an intermitant problem with the ignistion module. Auto Zone can test them for free.
Also if you have an alarm that disables the vehicle, that could be an issue as well. I have seen many, Many alarms go bad and cause this.

No spark from ignition module on hot start

95 JEEP WRANGLER 4 CYL

No spark. I have changed out the distributor cap, rotor, wiring from coil to cap, and coil was replaced. I checked the distibutor by turning ignition key and observing the rotor turn. What else can I check. I did not observe a module.

1 Solution for ''will the ignition modual from a 1989 cheroke work in a 1989 wrangler''

Possibly...you need to know engine size and if automatic or manual transmission. Check parts # and compare (at any parts house) If both have the same # they are compatible.

1989 jeep wrangler what are the vacuum lines going to my front axle?

Vacuum lines at front axle are part of your 4x4 control system. When changing oil or doing anything under the vehicle, always good to take a look at them and make sure they are secure, and in good shape. This eliminates problems while on the road.
