Other than removing & cleaning the valve body

ANY SLIPPING EVER in the life of that trans,
will eventually lead to a rebuild

That one went 18 years in my dakota & still
good when I parted with it a year ago

Most rear drive transmissions, last ten years & transaxles
are on their death beds from day one.

Unless you actually back probed the sensors with an oscilloscope
& scan tool data was next to non on OBD 1,it is possible
the sensors were never bad

It could be the Crank Position Sensor. But that just a guess. BUT.... they are common to go bad, buy one from the dealer, most aftermarket parts (non dealer) are not good.

Transmission is slipping what can i do

Depending on how many miles you have on it. You may need to have some repairs done. I don't know if there is much you can do to a jeep after it starts slipping other than try and change the fluid. The rebuild is the best option for you for sure. But you could put some no slip transmission fluid additives in it. Go to a parts store if you think thats your best option and tell them whats wrong and they will hook you up with some good additives. Go to Advance Auto or Auto Zone. The rebuild will be less expensive if the transmission still functions. Around $1000 versus the non functioning transmission that would cost about $1400-$2000. New transmission cost a lot more.
And don't forget! Please leave four thumbs up. I always try my best at explaining my answer to your problem.
And for your safety, here is a complete list of recalls on your vehicle. If your vehicle is affected by one or more of these recalls, then you may qualify for a free repair!

Transmission will stay in 2nd gear

Hi!!

When was the last time you service the tranny?

Fluid should be topped to level, pinkish in color and no burnt smell.

This happened two months ago; my cousin's Intrigue was slipping on 2nd n 3rd when it reached 2000 rpms. and some times when trying to take off suddenly, Have to released the gas a little and you could feel it engaging again.

Solution: Changed Transmission fluid and filter and added one bottle of RISLONE Transmission Stop Slip and Leak Repair I got at AutoZone ($10), It stopped the slipping after driving the car a couple of miles, you can actually feel more traccion in all gears and my cousin says is even giving more miles X gallon. He drives the car about 80 miles a day and is been over two months since. It may sound like a commercial ad but that stuff works great!!!

A/c fan doesn't work on Jeep Grand Cherokee

your fan motor needs to be replaced chances are it doesn't spin free and due to a sudden vibration it will work on it's own. when you have this replaced i would also change the reostat.
