I have the same problem. I have replaced the rear light assembly and the plug to this assembly. both only resolved the problem temporarily. I have gotten the suggestion that it is possible a grounding issue with the wiring. I need to find the wiring diagram to be able to trace the problem and find the solution.

I also have the same problem.  The front right turn signal started blinking fast so we replaced the bulb but it is still doing it.

It could be the socket. Look for water condensation on the light assembly. If there is water in there, check the socket for burning. You will need to replace the socket and make sure water cannot get into your light assembly.

Look for water condensation on the light assembly. If there is, it could be the socket shorting out. You will need to replace the socket and make sure that water cannot get into the light assembly or it will continue to happen.

No surprise at all! Common problem which has been discussed several times on this site.
Basically.....tail light(s) plugs (Pig Tails) were sub-standard and cannot stand the heat of the bulbs. Pull out hear tail light fixtures, remove bulbs from recepticals and check for melting plastic, usually between the black wire (hot wire) and one or more colored wires. If so, cut out old Pig Tail, get a replacement Pig Tail, soder it in (I think about 6 wires), and use electrical shrink wrap around sodered joint, install new bulbs using Di-electric grease in the socket. Test before reinstalling light fixture.

The poster also mentioned something I forgot; use some kind of grease in the sockets any time you have reason to access them.

The dielectric grease he mentioned is best but if you can't find (it is and electronic item, rather than electrical), even petroleum jelly will afford some protection.
I use it on battery clamps and it helps ****** the typical corrosion.
Since most cars use the chassis for ground, even the fasteners that hold in lighting assemblies can lose contact so I always loosen, then retighten them, to ensure decent ground contact.
Check too for corrosion in the light sockets themselves.

Dunno why it is so tough to seal a compartment but our US manufacturers can't seem to get it right.

Right turn signal does not work after replacing bulb - 2003 Pontiac Montana

There is probably another burnt out bulb somewhere.
If that is NOT the case then check your flasher relay under the hood, it should be near or in the main fuze box. You can test it by having someone flick the blinker switch and listening you should hear a clicking sound.

2002 Pontiac Montana. Front passenger side turn signal doesn't blink but the bulb is working as a running light. The faulty turn signal connection causes the right turn signal to blink excessively fast. Do...

Need to replace the bulb. There are 2 filaments in the bulb. 1 works parking light the other is turn signal. It flashes fast to alert you that it has a blown out bulb.

The right front signal light is flashing fast.

The fast flashing normaly means that there is A light out it does not mean it is that one, It can be front or back. This video should help with the install. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ewEB890UFo

1998 pontiac transport/montana has not tail or break lights...turn signals blink fast or not at all. changed rear bulbs and noticed carbon on front build up on front bulbs. Help!

If one of the filaments in the bulbs is burned out, the remaining working lights will flash alot quicker.
Check the bulbs, and replace if the filaments are broken.
If the front bulb has a carbon build up it blown out...change it..
Once the bulbs are replaced your signals should work properly.

I have a 1998 Pontiac Montana and the passenger side turn signals flash too fast, the drivers side flas the proper speed.

Turn the right flashers on with the engine running and in Park, then walk around the vehicle and observe the lights themselves on the passenger side of the vehicle. It's a good bet one of the bulbs is burned out; the faster flashing on your dashboard is meant to be an alert to a burned out bulb. If this does not correct your situation, let me know here and I will help you further.

2005 Montana SV6 right front turn signal not working correctly

might try to replace the turnsignal relay which is under the dash i belive, it is round and looks like a very small container about 1inchx1inch...If you replace that and it does the same thing you have a short in the wiring harnes that leaders from the blinkers to the actuatore, or a bad ground, start by chasing the ground and making sure they are all tightly secures with no bare wire/ or pinched wires anywhere..
Hope this fix's'ya!

Right turn signal flashes fast. Front bulb appears to be burned

There are 2 bolts on the top corners of the bulb lens that needs to be removed then the lens pops right out and you can change the bulb.

Turn signal

Go to your local NAPA auto parts store and get replacement tail lights circuit boards. This should solve the problem. I did for my daughters van.
