Open the trunk lid. On the inside of the trunk wall adjacent to the taillight you'll see a black, plastic key handle shaped screw that is meant to hold the trunk carpet down, hook your carriage net, and the taillight access cover on.
Unscrew it and pull back the carpet. Remove the cover and you'll have access to the bulb. Grasp the light terminal and rotate it clockwise 90 degrees and pull it out. Remove the bulb from the terminal by pulling it straight out. To install, reverse the aforementioned procedure.

I am trying to figure out which fuse to change or is it a relay. Nothing in the owners manual or the under the hood fuse boxes is labeled clearly.

Andrae, If it is just the right rear signal not working, re check the bulb and wires to the socket, signal bulb should have 2 filaments. When you put emergency flasher on do both tail lights flash, .

My blinker s dont work properly

First check all light bulbs, and or LED's especially front and rear turn signal bulbs. If all bulbs are good then check the fuse boxes, location will be noted in owners manual. In one of them you will see a round flasher, replace it. After that you will need a good trouble shooter to find problem.

I just purchased a 1996 cavalier. It didn't have an owners manual and i need to know what the abrieviations on the fuse box stand for. I'm trying to find the fuse for the brake lights and rear turn...

Hi, the likely problem is the turn signal switch. The signals and brake lights use different fuses. You can get an owners manual here:
http://www.extendedgmwarranty.com/owners-manual/chevrolet/1996-Chevrolet-Cavalier.pdf

A new switch is about $40, and it isn't too hard to replace. Make sure you get one that has the same controls as yours does. To replace the switch, remove the covers from the steering column, disconnect the switch and unscrew it from the column.

Please let me know if you have questions, and thanks for using FixYa.

How do I change the rear turn signal bulb on my 2007 pontiac g6 convertible

Probably too late for you, but others may benefit as I just did this.
In your trunk on each rear side panel, you will find several rubber stoppers approximately 1" wide. take a flat head screwdriver and pry underneath to loosen then pull the stopper out.
Take a socket set you and find the right size socket for your nut and take out the 2 nuts on top and the bolt at the bottom (my bottom bolt didn't have a stopper on it).
Pull out the tail light assembly. Remove the bad bulb from the back of the assembly and replace with a new bulb (look up type of bulb to buy in your owners manual). Replace hardware and test lights.

2001 Explorer Sport ,Rear Driver Brake Light and Turn Sig. Broke

Rear lights are double filament bulbs one side for the lights other side for the brake/turn signals so it still may be a bulb. Do u have a test light or volt meter you can check to make sure u have power there when brakes or turn signals are activated. Or just try another bulb.
