Alternater Leaking Brake Fluid

I have a 280 Diesel Turbo Double Cab with a alternator problem. Problem is brake fluid leaking from the rear bottom side of the alternator, only during braking. I'm not sure how this is possible? How do I fix?

I'm not sure if it is brake fluid or engine oil but i used to rebuilt alternators and the izusus have the engine oil pump integrated with the alternator, so all what you have to do is get another alternator from auto parts or find a place and have them rebuilt your alternator, im sure you will find a good place in the yelllow pages. they have a o-ring inside that when it gets damage it will start leaking engine oil, or brake fluid like you say, but definitive there is a pump behind the altenator and the seal must to be replaced

Changed rear brake lines

-Double check. No leaking....?
-If not leaking. When you bleed it. you might need some one to help you pump the brake.
-Make sure Pump the brake (Hole down still)/Now open or release the fluid and Closed BEFORE release the brake pedal. Repeat this until no bubble. And make sure the fluid reservoir never empty to Bottom.
You should be good to go.

I have a 94 f350 turbo diesel. and it has big oil leak on the back of the engine. i just replaced the rear main. and only leaks wen running.wat could it be.

If you have replaced the rear main bearing,You may have damaged the rear crankshaft seal.Check to see if its comming from where the engine meets the gearbox.

My brake pedal slowly goes to the floor and the engine make a whining noise on my 2001 F-250 diesel. Why?

wellyou may have one of a couple of different problems.
1. if you have recently wrked on the brake system you have air in the system and need to bleed it.

2. if you are lossing fluid you have a leak in a line or caliper or rear brake cylnder

3. your Master cylender is going bad

your engine is making noise do to the power boost on the brakes being maxed out

Right rear axle leaking gear oil

If it is the seal on the bearing, its not easy it is very time consuming, but this can also be the veiw if you have a brake cyl leak which can be caused by the brakes being exessevely worn in the rear end. I would take it to a shop and have them check it out,

1996 turbo deisel fuel and oil leak.

The fuel pump is located under the turbo on that truck. It is most likley washing sediment/old fluids out of the vally of toyr engine. It is also driven by a push rod that ths cam drives, so the lower pump o-ring may be leaking too. You can change the fuel pump without pulling the turbo. Good Luck
