Power windows not working on 2000 Ford Expedition

Check the fuse located underneath the drivers side steering wheel. Flip the fuse box cover lid over and you will find a diagram showing what fuse controls which componant. Replace the burned out power window fuse and your windows will work again. If your fuse is ok then you will need to replace the drivers side power window switch, click on the link below to order a new switch

On its little sister, the same twist handle that open the tail gate will open the window.. by twisting the opposite way. Maybe this will work for yours. (just a shot)

Sounds like you need a window motor. Try hitting in center of door trim panel to see if you can get it to work if so replace motor.

1999 Ford Expedition LF window wont work.


If it is a motor problem, you can usaully hold the switch which ever way you want the window to go, and slam the door shut while holding the said switch. If it works then, you need the motor replaced. If not, you need to look at the switch itself, or make sure that the motor is getting power and ground when the button is pressed.

first of all you may not be looking for a fuse if you have an owner manual check the fuse box under the hood as well it maybe one of the little boxes called a relay

All of these systems are controlled by the Generic Electronic Module, GEM for short, most likely it has failed, Ford can test it and determine what the problem is with it.
