If it won't come out,remove the cross member

sounds like theft loc due to ignition switch cylinder failure sad part about u have take ur vin to the dealer and have a new one coded to ur car about $180 just for the part

follow red wire from battery towards engine/motor it will be attached to the starter motor it should be between the engine/motor and the gearbox/transmission...hope that helps

2000 chevy blazer won't start and i wonder what the noise is coming from a silver box located under the hood on driver's side.

If it is a clicking noise it is either a relay or your starter solinod. If the starter is not turning and it is clicking, you need a new starter.

How do you remove the starter from 2000 blazer

raise the front of vehicle & support on jackstands.It will help to take off the (left wheel on2.2L models,right wheel on 4.3L models)Remove skid plate(if equipped)On 2.2 models remove front driveshaft.On some early models,it may be necessary to raise the engine/transmission with a floorjack an under the transmission and remove the transmission crossmember for access to the starter motor bolts.On models so equipped ,remove the starter heat shield.From under the vehicle, disconnect the solenoid wire and battery cables from the terminals on the solenoid.Remove the starter mounting bolts, and then remove starter motor (note location of shims)

its bit a hard task to do since u need to remove the bolts that holds it to the bell housing and u need to go underneath the truck to do it plus that requires right tools for the job

I have to spray starter fluid into my 2000 chevy blazer to start it every time I shut it off. /ckj

Defective cold start injector. May need a tune up. Computer could be bad not allowing proper injector pulse. Air leak. Idle air motor.

Unhook battery cables from battery locate starter on underside of engine block on the passenger side three bolts to take out replace starter and reverse procedure fairly easy job!! good luck.

Check this out ( and dont laugh even though I know ya want to ) Make sure ya terminals are clean on the Batt .. esp the + Side.. MAke sure its charged.. Then after all that. Get one of ya buddies that ya hate to crawl underneath and tap the starter with a hammer as you turn the key.. If it cranks,, go buy a starter.. Hope this helps.. Thank you

2003 Chevy Blazer won't start

have the computer checked out. may need reprogramming and have updates added. also check for loose or corroded connections at the terminals.
