2000 chevy blazer won't start and i wonder what the noise is coming from a silver box located under the hood on driver's side.

If it is a clicking noise it is either a relay or your starter solinod. If the starter is not turning and it is clicking, you need a new starter.

How do you remove the starter from 2000 blazer

raise the front of vehicle & support on jackstands. It will help to take off the (left wheel on2.2L models, right wheel on 4.3L models)Remove skid plate(if equipped)On 2.2 models remove front driveshaft. On some early models,it may be necessary to raise the engine/transmission with a floorjack an under the transmission and remove the transmission crossmember for access to the starter motor bolts. On models so equipped ,remove the starter heat shield. From under the vehicle, disconnect the solenoid wire and battery cables from the terminals on the solenoid.Remove the starter mounting bolts, and then remove starter motor (note location of shims)
