I have an 2000 Oldsmobile intrigue and i need to replace the camshaft position sensor, where is it located and how hard is it to replace it?

Well if it's the 3.5 SFI engine, it's on the timing chain cover, toward the top of the engine, held in by one 10mm bolt. If you have the 3.8L it's built into the ignition module. The crank sensor is a pain in the **** on the 3.8. That's located above the oilpan, toward the rear of the car, in between the transaxle & engine, also held in by one 10mm bolt. Check out autozone's website for more info.

Crank position sensor location

you will need to remove the starter to gain acess to the ckp sensor. once you remove the starter look on the engine block and you will see the sensor. The only problem with doing this repair yourself is that you will not be able to preform the crankshaft position variation learn procedure with out a factory scan tool. The vehicle may crank an run, but the timing advance curves will be wrong so the vehicle will probably cut off every time you remove your foot from the gas pedal. Hope this info helps!
